season 1 or season 2?
season 2 is a normal type show. but season 1 is tricky if you dont realize there are multiple timelines
and thats not a spoiler. its not a mind bender with a "oh there are multiple timelines twist"
the three main characters are a wicher, a sorceress, and a princess. witchers and mages live hundreds of years. so if they followed the books, season 1 would have just been the backstories of the witcher and sorceress. but the princess wouldnt appear in season 1 since she wasnt born for many decades
but the show wanted to include her in season 1 since shes a main character. and as a result, season 1 was very confusing in terms of the timelines (even for some book readers)
basically, the cureent story stuff deals with the princess of cintra and a war
everything else is happening in the past

I didn’t realize when I watched Sunday morning that they stick to airing times for the show and don’t do early release on streaming (like they did for Dexter), so I caught up last night. Only six episodes are out total.
It’s on that Sunday night lineup like GOT and Mare of Eastwood. Well...and Westworld. Holy shit was season 2 of Westworld a giant turd, I had no idea what was going on with all the time jumps and I eventually realized I didn’t even care anymore. I didn’t even bother with season 3. It’s a shame because season 1 was so good. Mare of Eastwood (Easttown?) was really good too, if you haven’t watched it yet. American Rust on Showtime sucked lol not even Jeff Daniels could save that mess. I’ve never seen so many unlikable characters.
I only watched GOT in that group and not until after the fact. It takes something specific to get me into a drama, to be honest. I really spend too much time angry or upset to watch serious ass shit sometimes. Hence why most of what I watch are comedies.

I quit Dexter after season 4. I was so glad Rita got got. So Fucking annoying and her kids sucked in season five. I tapped out.
Season five is just ugh
Season four was the absolute best. Jonathan Lithgow is an amazing actor.
