In the books they always make a point of making him a big dude. Something like 6’4” and 240 Military Police. I really enjoy the few books in the series I’ve read. Based on the trailer it seems they add a little more comedy or goofiness. I hope it’s good.
Military police??

I was gonna.watch this until you told me that.

Hope the cunt gets stabbed and amazon cancels it.

ive only read book 1. if you liked book 1, i think you'll like season 1. its pretty true to the story. the changes they made were actually good ones (especially for book readers, because it keeps ya on your toes a little bit, wondering what could possibly be different)

and its not goofy at all

ive noticed lately that a lot trailers come across as goofier than the shows themselves, since the trailers try to add in funny lines

and thats misleading when the funny line is just a one-off line in the middle or end of a serious scene

It's about a dude who doesn't realize he has powerful telekinetic powers because he's also schizophrenic. So yeah, it's a bit of a trip. Definitely not the usual comic book popcorn stuff. Based on some other stuff you've said I thought it might be up your alley.

I enjoyed it, though I don’t have any attachment to the books.
It had it’s problems but overall worth a watch.

Good. I’m not an avid reading but I like those books. I’m sure if I watch I won’t read another one. Mixed blessing.

Give it a try, it's unlike any other "superhero" type show you've ever seen, I guarantee it.

Watching the old classic Demolition Man on Starz.
Lots of fun. But goddamn, Dennis Leary is unbearable.
Too much of the dialogue is on the nose exposition.
"We don't have enough food to eat, nothing matters anymore".

Lots of explaining what we already knew.

Stallone is funny, so is Snipes. Bullock does a great job in her role.

Currently watching Jack Reacher. Nearing the end of the first act, two words: boilerplate, boring.
I hope it gets better soon.

Eta, this movie is terrible. The dialogue is so generic. I want to shut it off but I'll stay with it.

... eta, just stupid. Maybe the script read better. I predicted every plot point.

By the end mano a mano in the rain, when Reacher throws away his gun for a fist fight, I was laughing.
Schlock.

I went digging on the internet to try to find out why this garbage has such a good rep.
Turns out, people are stupid.

Murderville is surprisingly hilarious...an improv comedy cop show doesn't sound that funny, but it's great.
