We beat Holland 4-1.
I was at junior school at the time and the class had actually gone on a trip to Holland, like a summer excursion to go look at windmills or whatever the fuck they do. I was banished for being bad tho.
I'd have loved to have been there to goad those clog wearing motherfuckers when we pumped them.

Watching that now. Shit toss by the USA and commentary says “well, there’ll be no air guitar celebrations here…”.The colonials v their masters is a better watch.
The one thing I miss about America. Talking shit. Me being English and from the royal Navy, working alongside ex us navy, army, marines, air force and just general rednecks was great.Watching that now. Shit toss by the USA and commentary says “well, there’ll be no air guitar celebrations here…”.

Very easy to set folks off.
When Americans (most of them not all) would come into the oils sands up here they say and do things that they thought would make them sound cool but they’d end up looking like idiots. Lunch trailer with like 80 people in it and with no reason one would go “bet none of y’all ever seen one of these” amd then pull out whatever license it is to permit concealed carry or something. You could feel the “oh fuck off already” vibe in the room every time. They made good friends by being up smokes which were less then half our prices so that made it tolerable. The one thing I miss about America. Talking shit. I specifically remember I triggered one of my colleagues who was struggling with a fuel pump change.I can easily imagine you triggering dumb marines lol.
I would fear for your safety in such situations but you seem to be resilient in such matters.
I was a DoD contractor I used to like winding them up by saying guns are for pussies. When Americans (most of them not all) would come into the oils sands up here they say and do things that they thought would make them sound cool but they’d end up looking like idiots.
