There's a really weird disconnect westerners have. Our governments (granted mostly paid for and lead by America) are constantly fucking with every other country to keep their empire afloat and most people ignore it, or are just unaware and look the other way assuming our government's to be good. But if one of the empires enemies fucks with a country the vast majority of Americans or Canadians couldn't find on a map if you took the names off, and look the fuck out. The CIA just has such a tangled web of fuckery it's astonishing and basically impossible to get to the bottom of. There's always another enemy.

Also, I know you weren't asking me, so I apologize, shit just pisses me off especially when we're talking about pissing off the only other viable nuclear threat.

Also, I don't really know why you're following the news on this shit so closely, but your content is awesome and greatly appreciated.

Russian media is claiming that the 'crying father' viral video was actually from the separatist region with the guy sending his family to Russia before the invasion

If true, that amount of times this has happened already is pretty telling. Remember the 'Russian' tank that crushed the car, with not a single news outlet asking how the fuck a single Russian tank got into the middle of Kiev a day before they assaulted it?

And maybe I'm the one getting fooled by reverse Russian horseshit but it's still worth yet another reminder that the Russians aren't the only ones susceptible to regular doses of propaganda bullshit from their media.

Such a strange comparison.

That would be like if NATO smoked the fuck out of Russian troops moving back east after invading Ukraine illegally.

Yet the tweet attempts to state Russia isn't so bad to invade because the US smoked some invaders with the full support of the world.

The obvious parallel would be just mention dubya foray into Iraq but given the Twitter page content i don't think they care about accuracy.

Knife and cup are A OK. I’m following as I have some unexpected spare time on my hands lately and am genuinely more curious as to how all this plays out obviously. I find war and history very interesting (wrapping up lap two of Carlins shwo) but have never dug into modern warfare much at all when compared to say WW2 and ancient stuff. Details like @Splinty pointed out about lack of logistics are something I really overlooked so it’s surprising to see unfold in real time. I shit all over social media but now I’m super thankful for Twitter and even Google maps for the instant info as it happens.

Spending months preparing 150k troops. I've got to imagine they have pretty decent supply lines to that holding region. They've had months to get that ready. So I'd assume they have their shit there plenty fine.

I have a terribly hard time believe they won't be able to move a few hundred miles with relative ease. Armor fueling is a different beast. It's a ridiculous under taking and I kind of wonder if this is probing for Ukraine response, trying to let some back and forth happen to justify a fucking blood bath, etc. I have to think that Russia can move the trucks and troops forward as well as they got them next door. It'll be interesting to see how they manage trying to maintain secure food water and shelter after that take over with an unhappy local population.

Germany upended years of policy and agreed to supply weapons to Kyiv and look into ways to shut out Russia from the SWIFT financial messaging system, underlining the outrage in Berlin over President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.

The German government said in a statement Saturday that it has agreed to the supply of 400 German-made rocket propelled grenades to Ukraine via the Netherlands, along with 14 armored personnel carriers. It will also supply 10,000 tonnes of fuel via Poland. Further supplies to Ukraine are currently being considered, it said.​

“After the shameless attack by Russia, Ukraine must be able to defend itself,” German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck said in the emailed statement. “It has an inalienable right to self-defense.”​

At the same time, the government “is working flat out on how to limit the collateral damage of decoupling from SWIFT in such a way that it affects the right people,” they said. “What we need is a targeted and functional restriction of SWIFT.”​
