Its not that much of a nugget but its interesting. Crimea is arid. Unseasonably warm. Ukraine rightly shut off its water when it was annexed and its costing Putin a fortune to keep it running. He wants a land bridge.
The land bridge theory has been mentioned here before, I’m sure i read it on here. But I had no idea that Crimea and its people lived in such a dry place.
