No, that is not _my_ solution.

But do I realistically think the Ukrainians will take in Russian nationalists that moved there specifically to establish a Russian Crimea with open arms? Unlikely.

Are you under the impression that Russian nationalists who moved to Crimea make up a significant proportion of its population?

And if not, what do a small number of people moving there and 'room' in Russia have to do with anything?

I don't usually subscribe to the "world is ending" stuff, but it's... disquieting that nukes have even been brought up as a possibility.

Putin really has a hard on for this.

What happens next really depends on how he wants to be remembered.

Well it would almost certainly be a limited action, tactical. Not world ending.

But he could start WW3.
Shit would really hit the fan and many countries would gather together to end him. If he uses nukes he's signed his own death warrant.
