Fuck yeah, man. That would be sweet.
It is indeed in Luckenbach (just outside of Fredericksburg). And I know that tune, it’s a good one! ?Fuck yeah, man. That would be sweet.
If it's actually at Luckenback and that's where you are - you owe it to yourself to listen to Todd Snider's "Devil's Backbone Tavern" - the intro and the song. Whether you have heard it before or not.
Have fun, man.
There’s a Texas brewery that makes a beer called Devil’s Backbone. It’s a trippel and like 11% alcohol, those things fuck me up lolAnd then listen to the song - which has little to do with Luckenbach, but it finishes the story.
Todd Snider is a great songwriter.

Arlo is from around here. His real name is Tim Carr, and he and Jeremy Pinnell were in a band called The Great Depression. Late 90s maybe? Early 2000s? I saw them a few times back then as they would perform at local bars. I think they both struggled with drugs a bit and went their separate ways, but they both came out of it OK. I think Carr took a break for a bit and when he came back on the music scene he was performing as Arlo McKinley.
Great performance, but man...Paul Stanley wrote some corny fucking lyrics.
he's no Woody Guthrie...but Guthrie never pulled tail like PaulGreat performance, but man...Paul Stanley wrote some corny fucking lyrics.
Take out the electric guitars and Peter Criss banging on the drums and the lyrics have to stand on their own - you kind of have to chuckle a bit.
What?Bummer about Haynes big Govt' Mule fan here, RIP
