For the sake of humanity, I hope you're right. That isn't sadism, he's just baked.

I was doing some power lifting a few months ago. Got a lot more buff looking but it didn't help my sparring at all really. I actually think it hurt it because all of my energy was blown from lifting and I didn't feel 100% in sparring...more like 70%. I've readjusted my program since and still do some power lifting but way less and feel so much better now. I think I have found where I get the maximum benefits from it, without it taking away from it.I honestly don't think powerlifting is beneficial for MMA, just my opinion though.
I thought Overeem was just eating horse meat? (-:Also, Jones is now hanging out with these steroided out powerlifters. He has done coke and stuff in the past, hopefully he isn't on PEDs now. Overeem started hanging out with guys like that and got buff all of a sudden and we know how that turned out as soon as real drug tests started.
I always have good intentionsdepends on your intentions with the athlete.
I happen to follow him on Facebook.I would expect he would slim down during camp, this is probably near the end of a bulking cycle. He's never had bad cardio, so while more muscle does tire people out quicker, I'm hesitant to say it would make him gas to add some extra muscle. It might just be that Jon Jones never trained in the off season, so was never at his absolute peak condition, which is a scary thought.
When he wins against Cormier, is me buffet going to say "and still" or "and new"?I happen to follow him on Facebook.
He pretty much stated just that.
This is his "build strength" phase.
After December(?) He will switch to another (technique/endurance?) phase and then will come the fight camp.
He will begin fight camp in beast mode... which is scary in and of itself...
Disclaimer - if Jones kept an offseason doing nothing, this is better than that.I would expect he would slim down during camp, this is probably near the end of a bulking cycle. I just got out of the Hot Tub Time Machine and have a screen cap of Jones' future deleted tweet:
