how many people can you shoot with a malfed weapon that you don't have the experience to clear?

Let me argue this the way you are stringing me along...

Are you saying that the best way to perform a mass shooting is single round mags?!?!

I'm telling you that based on platform characteristics and venue, handguns would have been more deadly.

@BeardOfKnowledge also disagrees with me, but at least his perspective is defensible and based on his experience.

You actually suggested that mass shooters would be as effective (actually implied more since you are all them pistols being more effective at killing than a rifle) at killing while dual wielding two pistols and 15 round mags as they would be with an AR and 30 round mags.

you can also reliably bring 30 rounds of 9mm to bear with 2 hands using Glocks.
But then try to come at me personally about defensibility?

It’s crazy isn’t it? I have shot handguns, rifles, shotguns etc so I’m somewhat knowledgeable. I was actually a pretty good shot with a rifle. But definitely inexperienced shooting live or moving targets.

I got tickled picturing myself trying to shoot and control two pistols while switching targets. I don’t give a damn how many people you have taught to shoot, I know for a fact I would do better with an AR.

handguns would be more effective and require less training.

explosives would be the most effective, but require a lot more knowledge.

You can kill as many people with a car as you can an AR, it's just about choosing the appropriate weapon platform for the venue.
Wouldn't it be much easier for you if the list of deadliest one man massacres wasn't dominated by untrained assholes wiping out dozens of random people with their long guns that they don't even know how to use?

Well done on singling out Cho, though. He's basically the only one who killed more than a dozen and didn't use an AR-15-type long barreled rifle. Everyone else? Well, I guess it's him and Dylann Roof who are the two high profile handgun rampage killers. Cho killed 33 which is good for top five body count, Roof and the rest of them are nowhere.

So, let's recap.

* Turns out that armed school security was conspicuously useless at stopping the attack as soon as it began. Just like it was at Columbine and Parkland, among others.

* The school was secure and only had one approved access point, but this didn't work because it's an elementary school staffed by elementary school teachers, not a maximum security prison.

* Cops couldn't gain access to the classroom for an hour while the gunman was in there with all the kids he was murdering, until they tracked down a janitor who gave them a master key to the building. This is because the internal classroom door was a steel security door that the cops couldn't batter down.

* The best way to survive a school shooting isn't to hide, it's to run. Every mass killer is hoping to walk into a classroom or a library with 30-50 terrified people hiding under tables and in cupboards.
