Another good reason to have a parent co-sign a firearm purchase before the age of 26. They know them better than anyone else.

But subsequent laws do. If someone is of legal age to purchase a gun, it is legal for said person to purchase said gun. There isn't a red flag there.

Or maybe they'll be responsible enough at 18 as long as they are willing to go to war, but when they get out of the military they won't be responsible anymore, so we shouldn't let them have guns until they are 26 when the magic happens.

Listen, society isn’t raising kids in the same way it did in the past.
Regardless of any argument, the truth is that these offenders that choose schools are generally of a certain age and they have taking a liking to a certain weapon. And doing absolutely nothing to deter them is just....well, stupid.
