Also, I thought my son was about to agree with Filthy @Filthy and I Almost had a panic attack.

I asked my son what weapon he would choose for a mass shooting.
(Not weird for us. We have always discussed philosophy, scenarios and “what would you do if” kind of things.)
He said longer range or moving targets he would pick an AR. But closer range he would use a hand gun, it’s harder for someone to take it away. My face didn’t change but inside I was screaming “dear god, no! Please don’t think like filthy!” Then he said that no he would probably still use an AR. I could finally breathe again.
Is he aware 30+ round magazines are available for handguns?

Of course I threw that in there trying to sound smart. He tried to one up me and said they are too heavy and get in the way.

He don’t know. Lol
Bollocks. Educate your son regarding 30+ round pistol magazines.

Too heavy, my backside.

so why is your solution supposed to be the solution for all of America?
Because this is happening in America?
Because that is the age range of the offenders in America?
Because a gun is the weapon of choice in mass murders in America?

It may not be a perfect solution but it will be a deterrent.

My son pretty much ignored me as a resource for guidance from about age 13 until 18. He comes to me now and discusses things and asks my opinions on things because he is experiencing adult things. I know the law says 18 is a legal adult but he needs my parenting (guidance) now more than he has in years.

You’ll see one day.

so now it's a precursory set of questions that will keep psychos from arming themselves?

they would have cleared it if they wanted to. You're going to come up with a 10m interview that will identify mass killers. Amazing.
No, man.

They wouldn't clear it if they wanted to.

Not Holmes and not Cho, anyway. And that's 50 people right there.

They were far, far too mentally ill, and this was clear and obvious to literally everybody who knew them or even met them.

Who do you think a lot of people behind the trigger during these big events are, exactly? Well adjusted normal individuals with social lives?

??

The unidentified shopper had been carrying an AR-15 assault-style weapon in a gun sleeve beneath an article of clothing, Maj. Ron Martin of the North County Police Cooperative told WSDK-TV in St. Louis. Openly carrying firearms is legal in the state.

As the gun owner stepped outside after his purchases, a man held a pistol to the back of his head and demanded the rifle, according to police.

After giving up his weapon, the victim went to his vehicle to grab another gun and then opened fire.

The robber, who was seen using both the rifle and his handgun, was initially listed in critical condition last week. Two bystanders, both women, who had just pulled up to the market, were also shot, according to a police statement. Their injuries were not life-threatening, police said.

The owner of the rifle fled.

Wtf
the "victim" decides robbery is worthy of capital punishment and proceeds to murder a robber and nearly kill bystanders
