The twitter warriors on both sides are generally a bunch of nutcases. A lot of them nutcases with a shitload of followers.

The Germans, Brits and Scandinavians seem to be more hardcore Ukrainians than the Ukrainians themselves and you'll find Serbians, Hungarians and Greeks that are more hardcore Ruskies than the Ruskies themselves.

You genuinely can more easily find more objective and critical assessments of Ukraine's and Ruskie progress from Ukrainian and Ruskie sources than you can from their foreign internet bootlickers.

there is a twitter account called “ukrainian canadian volunteer” that shitspams made up, inaccurate BS “from the frontlines” all over Ukraine during the exact hours of like 10am-7pm Eastern time while “fundraising” for his unit.

I had always just assumed you were Chrystia Freedland.

It's strange to me how many of you Canucks are Ukrainian and how few Strayans are. If you look at Straya's and Canuckia's demographics, usually it's about the same. Any other major ethnic group there are no dramatic differences, just slight variations here and there.

Except for your people for some reason, Chrystia. Did they look at the heat and say 'fuck that shit, eh, buddy'?

Oh yeah, and also the amount of Frogs, obviously. But they don't count.

seriously ukrainians were purposefully recruited to settle the Canadian Prairies because the british types sucked at it. 1890s-1930s until the depression. Mostly from the west of modern day Ukraine. If it had kept up, Saskatchewan was on pace to be 10 million Ukes by now.

The strange thing is that I have had two different grown, married male friends also ask me if I want to go watch it in the last two days.

'Face to face poll'...in the middle of a war, in an environment where 'orcs' are being tied to posts...conducted in the regions of Ukraine without big ethnic Ruskie populations.

You don't need a poll to tell you most Ukrainians hate Russia right now, and that poll is flawed as shit anyway.

Russia was never going to try to actually physically occupy these regions, even if it could have swept aside Ukraine's regular army.

'Novorossiya' + maybe (but unlikely) Poltava, Sumy and Chernihiv is where the only potential land grabs were ever going to take place, none of the constituent oblasts of which are represented in that poll.

Doesn't mean Russia won't be facing armed insurgency there too, but it is a whole different ball game to trying to occupy western Ukraine. Ruskies were never dumb enough to think they could just let their troops hang out in Lviv.

I took it as more of a statement of fact that any civilian that stayed behind will be caught in the crossfire.

I can see how it could be construed as cheerleading though. I mainly posted it because the other link saying the information about the counter offensive was to a telegram channel.
