Tesla can't make cars fast enough to meet demand. Everyone is buying them. And aside from pickup truck owners, who are douchebags anyway, most people would rather own a Tesla than a gas-powered car.

Tesla has such a jump on the rest of the field in electric vehicle technology that I don't see other manufacturers offering up any serious competition in the next 10 years. By subsidizing the company over and over, and US government has created a monster.
