Flawlessly with about 300 brass rounds put thru it. It's a compact carry, so 5 + 1 in the chamber. Only reason downside.
I can't shoot pistols for shit, apart from a .22 s+w target pistol my dad had. That thing was great.

He's also got a .41 magnum. Rare gun, hard to find ammo, usually at gun shows and you never know what your gonna get.

Not much to this one really. Trigger safety. Load the clip, rack one in the chamber and pull. Not a bad price either. Think I got it for $350

I think people my age l look so much older than me. I’m not saying I look young, just that if I see a 42yr old they seem older to me. I think I’m in denial that I appear older than I’d like to admit.

You’re not alone. I was looking at this broad I went to school with on FB and I was thinking “dang, she looks 32/33. I don’t think I look 32 yet.” My best friend still looks stupid young, too.
We still get carded for alcohol. ?

I admit, Father Time is going to be a bitch to deal with, but I’m dealing with the evolution well

I gotta be better about my skin care and my carboloading, though. But I’m managing it well, too.

It feels insane, though - and I know you can relate - when you realize how old your kid(s) is/are and you can’t figure out how all that time went by. That’s when I really feel old lol

I had to stop watching astronomy stuff after 1900.
How fucking old are you???

I feel the same. I just turned 40, and there's a bunch of 40 year olds who look ancient to me. But I still have the same hair and waistline that I did when I was 18, so that helps. Plus I don't have kids, so not being on the other side of that great lifestyle divide means that it's probably easier for me to relate to younger colleagues than it is for most others my age.

There just isn't any imagining it.
I try to build a mental picture by starting with the Local Group and imagining my way outward.

What made it easier was when the photos of an object were so good, it became clear that the sky is absolutely carpeted with galaxies. Everywhere.

But scale is so difficult, like in the micro world, because we instinctively look to ordinary objects for reference.
The human brain would be incapable of processing too much more afa comprehending, or trying to, infinity.
Absolutely!

Its what ultimately "grounds me" in life.

Its what makes me wish to keep on going.

"I try to build a mental picture by starting with the Local Group" (Crazily Mind boggling huh?)

Speaking of "Carpeted Galaxies"

This is a prime example of that

Ha! ?
My first scope was a 13" Dob light bucket. No setting circles, nothing. Tube and mirror was like fifty pounds, on a lazy Susan type base, another awkward thirty or so.
Hard to move but the views were beauty.

I swear I probably looked directly at several objects but didn't see them because city lights.

Here the light pollution is so bad it drops at least a few magnitudes.

"Here the light pollution is so bad it drops at least a few magnitudes"

For sure! I'm in So Cal (not for much longer though)

Forget about finding a "dark site" here. Here we look for "less then normal light polluted sites" and just call them "Dark Sites" LOL

An actual Dark Site is a fuckin pipe dream here.

Thats also why I got into Video Astronomy it virtually neutralizes Light polluted skies.

You just hold the iris/aperture open for a minute or so and collect more light before having it render an image and boom! Problem solved

For my 40th a couple of months ago, I rented a place with a bunch of friends on the edge of the Aoraki Mackenzie Dark Sky Reserve, which is apparently the biggest in the world and the only dark sky reserve in the Southern Hemisphere. A few of us were going to go to the observatory, but it was cloudy both nights unfortunately. Still, it's on the list for the missus and I. We're lucky that it's only a morning's drive away.

Biggest sky I've ever seen was a few hours into the Australian outback, though. That shit was unreal. Zero light pollution for hundreds of miles in every direction. Flat orange-coloured nothing from horizon to horizon in every direction, and the stars were unreal at night.

Photo isn't me, but it's just this as far as the eye can see, everywhere you look.

Look for Omega Centauri. Looks like a fuzzy star.
It's an enormous globular cluster of millions of stars, the finest in the sky, unviewable from my latitude.

Use a pair of binoculars and you'll be astounded at what some "stars" turn out to be.

Btw there needs to be a "jealous" emoji

Don't know that I could replace looking through an eyepiece.
Hunting for objects by guess and small movements of the scope helped me learn the sky, the kids today are so lazy with their fancy pants imaging software ?
