I would never do that. I just think cats are the most amazing animals on the planet, they are intense killing machines. Since I was a kid I've always been interested in why they can be so vile and also so calm. The science of how a cat moves and jumps is actually really cool.

now we just woke up and it was sleeping like a rock. I woke him and it pissed a tiny bit in the litter box and just sat there so I had to move him.
my girl gave him milk and he seemed to respond and drink a little bit it was very, very refreshing.

The kitten might be too young for the food you got. I had that issue with one kitten a friend found and gave me. She was too little for dry food but wouldn't take the kitten formula so I gave her some wet and she gobbled it.
If your kitten doesn't do that, you need the kitten formula and a dropper. Cows milk, contrary to popular belief, isn't so good for them so I would avoid it.

it apparently woke up hungry and drank some of the 1/4 milk/water we gave. not a lot but took a few reasonable sips.
went back to sleep like a rock again in a shoebox. the motherfucker seems to be chill and by tueday tops it'll be checked by a doc.

Go to a smaller pet store (the people have better knowledge), bring the kitten if possible, and ask advice. Definitely need to get something more nutritious, as soon as possible.

Kitten formula. Don't ask. Just get. The premixed is easiest.
