they do so because the media markets to their worst instincts. That's a feature of a broken system.

Musk/Bezos/et al aren't spending their money investing in space travel, they get 10s-100s of billions of tax payer money and lost tax income.

Space X/Blue Origin are bankrupt within 6 months if the gov't turned off the money spigot.

That $ spigot is govt controlled. Not via business. Also the exact same thing is true of literally all of our green energy investments. Solara etc. And idc how things are “marketed”. People should still be free to spend and invest the $ of their labor even if I think it’s frivolous or disafree with it.

California Bans Natural Gas Furnaces, Water Heaters

The state of California is banning the sale of natural gas furnaces and water heaters by the year 2030 in the name of its anti-fossil fuel green energy agenda.

On Friday, the California Air Resources Board voted to enact the policy, which will phase out sales of gas heaters and furnaces in favor of electric ones in purported efforts to combat climate change.

Environmental advocate Leah Louis Prescott claimed the move would eventually lead to cleaner air for Californians by reducing emissions, pollution and smog.
