all of this plus corporate greed and inflation from printing trillions of dollars during covid
Fuck both administrations IMO.
If I had to chose one I would chose the previous, this one is by far the bigger sell-out to it's populous.

Both enabled big pharma, both printed way to much funny money, but the current one sold the country out with illogical and intentionally backfiring energy policies. Plus the latest war is a fucking joke and is escalating corporate greed in a major way.

Nice ass

Gotta disagree mostly though
On Biden's watch some illogical moves have and are being made, and the repercussions are obvious.

I have plenty of problems with the last administration as well, but their failures do not excuse those of the current Admin one bit.

The energy policy alone is a serious problem and factor in prices.

Brandon is a serious train wreck.
Why weren't we getting gouged when Trump was in office?

Hey man! Yeh so far so good. Missing sleep badly but besides that all good.

How are you bro?
Good to hear, I think of you sometimes when I see a new father.

I'm solid, working a lot and enjoying the rain and cold temperatures. Getting over a seasonal Cold/Rona so enjoying some tomatillo and chicken soup right now.

Profits have never been greater and we are being gouged.
Margins are typically constant.

As costs go up, so does net profit.

Example:
Say a widget usually costs you $15 and you sell it for $20. If the cost balloons to $50 are you then selling it for $55 to keep the same $5 net profit?

First scenario has a margin of 25%
Second scenario is 9.1%

If you operate that way you won't be in business very long.

Are some businesses taking advantage of the situation? Absolutely. But it's incorrect to look at the profit in a quarterly statement and claim that's what's happening.

Biden has been saying the same thing you just said. It's shortsighted and doesn't necessarily paint a clear picture of what's actually happening.

you're not getting gouged, Trump printed the $6T that created the inflationary business environment. Businesses are covering their future losses due to inflation.

Also you

“WTF are you talking about? You want perfect, comprehensive, instantaneous results? "some results may not be known for a few days" like literally every other election in the history of the US? "IT'S A COUP!!!!" LoL”

yes - you cannot have perfect results instantaneously in a close election.

If you want to "Stop The Steal" (LoL), you put a bunch of custodial rules and count check rules in place. That's why AZ takes longer to get returns, because Arizona doesn't want another Jovan Pulitzer jerk-off session that makes our election count last 18 months.

Biden? sure.

I don't think it's realistic to expect the Fed to increase interest rates as soon as Biden took office, even if that was the prudent thing to do. They wanted to keep that free money flowing to themselves. But even if they had, I'd expect the current economic environment, but it would be coming to an end in the next 2-3 years. But with the Fed keeping rates low and Biden printing money for the unions, it's going to continue getting worse and be a much longer recovery.

We might have to WW3 our way out of The Greater Depression.

Wut?

This inflationary cycle was created by the 08 collapse. COVID spending just brought it to a more timely conclusion.

you can trace the inflationary cycle a lot further back than 08 if that's how you want to define it.
