it seems like a pretty easy mistake to make...some sort of race condition

you think it's easy to rig elections?

the OR gun law is dumb. I expect it to get struck down after enriching a bunch of lawyers.
IMO

Any site publishing numbers that look wonky needs to be called out. Accountability is key.

Rigging elections goes back as far as elections have existed, the process is a big factor and now with software and "secure" machines it is surely possible and certainly does occur in our current time. I wish it was easy to have faith in the process, but that isn't where we are, and I felt that way two decades before Trump lost in 2020.

The law is dumb, will cost the state tens of millions(probably more) and will only enrage the populous of both the right and many of the left...only the uneducated or extremist voted for it(which says a lot for the mind of the current voter in this state :()

First one is Montana, not exactly a bastion of Progressive legislation. So I can only assume this was a really bad law, and a vain attempt at virtue signaling by a far right group.

2nd one is simply urban vs rural. Look at AZ or NV, same thing, even more overt. The counties with big cities vote Democrat, the rural counties vote Republican. Unless you're saying it's the Red counties that are rich? But there's a shitload more poor people in LA than rich people, same for most any major urban area.

Took them days in 2020 too didn't they? Nevada is doing the same being Nevada as usual...
i don't recall. I think they had it by Thursday after the election? All of the delay comes in the big metropolitan areas because there's so many ballots and only so many counting machines. the more voter turnout on election day, the slower the count

do you guys think Pres Trump announces his candidacy before the GA run-off?

seems to be conventional wisdom that doing so is:

a) really bad for the Republicans chances of taking the Senate
and
b) almost certainly something Trump does anyway

All bets are off on Trump now. He's going scorthed earth on DeSantis and Younkin now and the MAGA crowd is divided as fuck at the moment. Also Masters is most likely gonna lose in AZ and Laxalt is about to lose now that Nevada found all the Dem votes needed to pull out the win which is everything since that will give them the Senate no matter what happens in GA...

Desantis is the best. Regardless of trump (who will not win the nomination), my good friend, Desantis will be the next president and shut all dumbocrats out…don’t worry, he’s clean as clean gets as he told Biden to fuck off with the lockdowns and anything else the basement dummy wanted

How quickly some of yall have went from Trump being America's only savior to Trump being a liability is breathtaking.

It's reality.

He might be the better choice to have in there as far as policies go, but I don't see any way for him to get elected. He's burned too hot and he caught a lot of bridges on fire.

The GOP needs to get behind DeSantis. He made all the right moves during the pandemic. It shows he can think for himself. Build on that.

The issue is getting Trump to step aside. Maybe let him save face and say that he got into politics because there were no good options for the American people, but now that DeSantis is there that's no longer the case.

If Trump endorses DeSantis and fades back to obscurity - landslide victory in 2024. If Trump acts as an antagonist - that doesn't lead to desirable results.

But the GOP needs to act quick. This can't be something that lingers. I'd even do it before the Georgia runoff.

Good luck getting Trump to play ball though. That's a tough one.

I should be a campaign manager.
