Was out plowing/salting last night at 2 AM in official blizzard conditions. On a quad. I couldn't see shit.
Woke up this morning to a temp of negative 8.
Currently sucking down coffee and waiting until it gets up to 0 before heading back out. Ended up with about 3" of snow. Still windy as shit but it's no longer snowing.
Current temp: Negative 2.

Frozen rain here. My street is an ice sheet so imma chill at home today.
Smoke is drifting in from the Okanogan-Wenatchee region. The temperature is 32°C (90°F) under a red sun. It is expected to cool down to typical seasonal temperatures after the holiday weekend.
Shit is getting old. I legit haven't seen the sun in 10 days. The cold doesn't bother me. But the constant gloom seriously fucks with my mood.

We have a state of emergency due to an atmospheric river that's allegedly going to ball slap the region. Should be good for washing human feces off the streets.

In anticipation, I've bought up all area scuba equipment.
Downtown LA got 6" in 24 hours. I'm south of there in San Diego and we didn't get hit very hard at all, but it's supposed to rain through the weekend, so we shall see. Our soil here is expansive (clay) so it doesn't hold rain at all. It just turns into runoff pretty fast.
Upstate the winds and rain was crazy. I heard there was up to 80mph winds in the SF Bay...
Santa Barbara County closed all schools for the day because they were expecting hurricane level winds, let alone all the rain. Each time they have a big rain storm they have severe mud slides.
