Someone installed this shelf in a wonderful location, making hanging a towel or plugging in anything fun.
It's upside-down...

Put it in a better place, right-side up.

If you look closely you can see the 3 seashells.
LOL @ not knowing how to use the seashells

_____________

To utilize hot water 2 faucets had to be on to trip the pressure switch in the on-demand hot water tank, or a wonderful moaning pipes sound would rattle the house from air in the lines of this poorly installed sink faucet.

So I correctly installed this better faucet, problem solved(more on this one)

Whoever installed the piping didn't think this through, making extraction & re-installment ...challenging.
20221127_172306.jpg
By LUCK, a few days prior I went to Harbor Freight & loaded up the cart with goodies, almost put this back thinking it was an impulse buy...
20221127_172316.jpg

Using it I could see the nut snugged up against the water pipe.
Had to use the mirror & angle a crescent wrench diagonal at about 75° with 1/20th turns for about 10 minutes to get it off, then back on.
This is the importance of planning; Live>learn.

20221127_172705.jpg

Obviously because of the poor planning it is clear the previous installer had to install the sink & faucet first, then do the piping.
The only way to get this nut off without being Ant Man was lock on vice grips with barely a bite & slowly turn from the top until the wall stopped them, then slowly nudge it from the top until it loosened.
This was like surgery.

Look a bit overdressed. -18 is bikini weather!
Haha! That coat is just the raincoat version so I can adjust the layers underneath as the temps change. The lined winter version of that coat would actually be too hot much of the time.

I also have a mask for when it gets colder.

I ripped the back seats out of my Tacoma access cab and built a rear seat delete storage cabinet mostly so I have somewhere to put long guns where they are out of sight and locked up. I still need to install the locks as well as some foam on the inside of the cabinet. After building it, I had the bright idea of adding slide out drawers on the bottom. I'll add those if the height will allow me to store pistols, magazines, and/or ammo. Also, I might be picking an adult German Shepard soon as well. This will give her a flat surface to lay down. I'll throw a dog bed back there.

Made out of 1/2" plywood.

I decided I didn't like what I had built, so I redid it.

I can now access the space under the seats which is where I store a lock box for a pistol when I need to leave it in my vehicle. This is because I am no longer building it with wood going down to the floor. Instead I'm using six inch L brackets as legs to hold the shelf up to the height of the hump in the center that goes around the drive shaft. The L brackets also make it easier to bolt the entire thing to the floor so it can't be easily removed when I do have guns in there.

The storage compartment is more secure since the lid is now one piece which is locked on both sides rather than three separate sections, and the storage compartment isn't as wide so the seats can move all the way back and fully recline. Even with the decreased width, I can still fit a shotgun and a scoped rifle in there.

I'm going to put some D rings where the rear seat belts use to screw into the floor so I can tie things down when needed. The cut of the lid around this section is a better fit than it was before. I also like the look of the carpet better than the foam mat I used before. Yes, I know I need to vacuum out the interior.

I had a copper water line that developed a leak over the weekend right in its elbow joint. I was pissed and didn't want to call a plumber since they typically charge a lot more on weekends. I know fuckall about welding, but learned about sharkbite fittings and copper to pex pipe repairs that actually are to code. I was nervous as hell doing it, but I watched a few videos and then tackled the job.
