Can anyone except Hauler recall what Ohio State's record was the last two games of the season? If it was not 0-2 I will send him $100 right now.

Was anyone else confused when I said 0-2 to finish the '22 season and thought "he must be talking about the calendar year 2022"

it wasn't, based on your posts over and over. you kept talking about prior seasons, UGA vs Cincy in the '21 season. obviously, you are lying or wrong.
it's ok, enjoy your 11-2 season. at least you did not finish 0-2.
UGA has the same number of national titles in the last two seasons as Ohio St the last 1/2 century.

Case of Bud Light?
We don't even know who their starting QB is yet.
As always - they lose a LOT to the NFL. Likely (4) 1st rounders.
Not having the potential #1 overall pick in CJ Stroud under center will certainly be an adjustment.

They have a couple of Johnny Utah's competing at QB. Kyle McCord, Devin Brown. My assumption is McCord gets the nod as he is a Jr, but freshman Devin Brown looks to have a lot of upside.

The WR group is insanely talented with both Egbuka and Harrison returning - both guys would have been 1st rounders if they were eligible. WR Julian Flemming opted to return for his Senior season - likely because his entire collegiate career he's been playing with absolute stud WRs and he hasn't accumulated the stats to warrant a lot of NFL attention. But he's definitely an NFL talent - likely as a slot WR. He's also a great blocker.

I also think this will be a huge year for RB TreVeyon Henderson. He was injured last year and missed the last 4 or 5 games of the year. BEAST. His freshman year he had 1560 all-purpose yards with 19 TDs. Now he's a junior. Just another dude you'll eventually be watching on Sundays.

Defense should get better.

Buckeyes will be very good.
But a lot will depend on the QB play when they match up against Notre Dame, Penn State and TTUN - and then whoever big dawg they get matched up against in the post season - be that Bama, LSU, Clemson, Texas, etc.

SEC got their priorities straight:

I saw a tweet yesterday that said LSU's football program brings in $53m in annual revenue. Their basketball team brings in like $1.5m annual revenue, and their womens basketball brings in like $500k. All of their other sports programs combine for like $20m in losses. Pretty crazy how football programs fund these universities other sports.

Craziest thing to me, is that they still pretend this is related to academics.

That's probably NET on the women's basketball program. Even as successful as they are, I seriously doubt they operate at a profit.

He isn't wrong. But with the transfer portal the way it is, it's probably going to keep happening.

Don't schools have a limit on scholarship players? If they have to honor scholarships even on cut players, do those scholarships not count towards the cap?
Yes, each team can have 85 players on scholarship

But if they cut a guy and honor the scholarship (which they have to do) does that mean they can only have 84 players on scholarship - or do they get another player and effectively have 86 scholarships linked to the football program?

Pretty sure if they cut a guy, they have to honor his scholarship and that counts against the 85...so the school would then have only 84 scholarships available to other players. I dont know how Deion cut so many players and has available scholarships to offer new ones.

That's what I'm getting at. If he had 85 and cut 20, he should only have 65 left.

But maybe 20 just said "I'm out" and jumped in the portal. Not sure.

Yeah I dont know any more details than what I've read. I'm sure he and the staff did their best to 'encourage' guys to 'quit'...and those who didn't, maybe they just cut them and decided to deal with the scholarship hits.

If they play Ohio State, the Buffaloes will get slaughtered worse than when the white man made their way west in the 1800s.

This Va Tech vs Tulane Military Bowl game has been awesome. Pouring down rain, tons of turnovers and lead changes.

UofL vs USC in the Holiday Bowl at 7pm ET.
