I've read about the 1 year, 2 year cane thing, but last year was the first year I've attempted to grow blackberries, so I don't know much. I've got them in 15 gallon pots.
That is big enough, they are manageable in the ground as well if you know the rules of their growth I spoke of above.

The rules are all in that above post, we went from wtf where are the berries to holy shit what to do with all these berries. You will kill it if you start keeping last years vines. Ours are in the ground and send out 5-8 20 foot vines each year, that could fill so much fence and make so many berries. Some people use wire trellis as well, they will climb anything.

I'm gonna fire up the I pad and try to get you a few pictures haha

This is a Chesterberry on a sheep panel fence(4"x4"), last year we bought as a 2 foot vine in a 1 gallon pot, it has now filled the entire 16 foot of fence in a single year. I have never even had this berry so this year's will be my first.

Same Chesterberry fence with a watermelon in ghetto round the lady planted haha

Sideview of Marionberry(large blackberry variant) on a hog panel(4" x 6") fence, this produces a ton of berries. New vines wander the ground until berries are harvested from last year's vines, then we cut last years vines out and train the wandering new growth in and out of the fence for next year's berries. Been doing marionberries for 2-3 years now all from a 1 gallon start. Blueberry bushes in rear of photo.

One of the (10)15+ year old blueberry bushes that help produce over a hundred pounds for the freezer(lady eats half of them of them while picking probably), I eat a few handfuls per year haha(1% or less of harvest)

Cucumber babies, will build an A-frame of hog fence to let them climb up 8 feet

Some Tomatoes with Okra bottom of screen, I use hog panels to train tomatoes as well. Usually building a square/rectangle with some bamboo thru the middle of the structure horizontally to support the tomato plants

Arugula from seed in the middle, asparagus (from seed) in back of bed

Asparagus...takes a few years to get a crown/root that can grow this type of stalk...they start out tiny and you don't get real shoots for 3 years...comes back every year like a boss...I like it raw

I will take more pictures if anybody enjoyed these, we have nice fruit trees and other stuff to share
I really do suck at taking pictures and am even worse at sharing them, sorry for that

That deer tongue is as dark purple as the Merlot variety. Wow.

The auto flowers seem like they are still are garbage novelty. One month in and 2 of the 3 of these are allegedly ready for harvest in another month... I'm good at wasting money, so oh well. Probably time to germinate another round of them to see if I can improve on the grow, but fuck these these things!

something is chewing on them it appears
full sun?

I would like to find some auto flower starts/seed around here actually, not interested in fighting the wet cold fall on 8+ ft plants here anymore...outdoor conditions are perfect but weather cuts the harvest about 2-3 weeks short

Time frame/harvest may be different considering variables/conditions.

Yes, something is chewing on just about everything in my garden, much more so than other years. I haven't sprayed anything so far, but I need to start for sure. Mixing Captain Jack's just for basically teens is a chore, so that's on me.

This is where I'm getting my auto's from:

Based on the time they take to go from seed to flower, I don't think you want to find starts anywhere. Pretty sure they need to be germinated, then planted into their final resting place. From what I've read, anything over 3 gallons is overkill.

Pole beans work on that as well

I love that Arch, you can run stuff on that for many years to come.
I pin them at ground level with form/concrete stakes(those T posts will be even stronger) so they are not as tall as yours
I love bending 16 foot Hog panels into those arches over my raised beds, usually for cucumbers or Pole beans

Matoes?? Get them in, not sure how it is there but here it gets moist and misty come late October so the Tomatoes start to get sick...I am sure you have hotter nights that will aid in rapid growth
I will take pics of the PNW south willamette valley garden soon to compare with my earlier planting pics...things are starting to take off although we are having a cool summer so far...not much rain but certainly cool temps...we haven't hit high 80s more than two days and are going to have sub 60 degree weather with cool nights this weekend...My tomatoes and Peppers are getting healthy but they aren't down with cool nights

I transplanted my Okra and put in in a pot because I felt a cooler summer occurring, they will not flourish like they would in a hot summer or a southern location, will likely end up with barely enough for a small batch of gumbo

What are the high and low temps there currently during this time of year?

Edit...Not sure you are using 16 foot length panels, looks more like 12 footers?

Highs of around 90+ and lows around 65'ish.
Today was 85 but the cutting humidity brings that up a bit, I swear it felt like 95 out there today.

Yes those are 16" panels.
I'd put in work to get a line on those things.

Nice, those are great garden temps

Damn those are 16s, that thing is big and tall

Those panels are easy to find here, I have dozens of them for chicken runs/cat runs/berry vine fences/garden...some with 2x4 grid(utility panel), some with 4x4 grid(sheep panel), and some with 4x6 grid(hog panel)

I wanted to get a little more height out of it so I pushed 2 feet up, thinking I could run cheaper wire across the bottom, maybe some TESC fencing, which is basically garden wire stapled to weed barrier.

I dig it, you can use that setup for years.

YOu planting in ground or in something raised off the ground?

Also I was wondering if Kiwi grows there, if I had all that space I would grow a massive Kiwi garden. I had Kiwis in the backyard growing up and they were amazing, decent amount of work during part of the year but they are super high in Vitamins and the yield can be yuge.

tbh I never even thought about it.

I'm "semi" disabled, so things that took me a day take me three. There's so much to do it's unbelievable.
I really wanted to focus on avacados and lemons, as well as apples. I have peach trees but they don't produce atm due to disease.
