It's a shame. The one thing I was looking forward to with trump were the republican debates
Trump would Clown desantis, while most of the candidates bend over for him
Christie would have attacked him.
What is trumps goal? Does he think this helps him win independents?
Seems like a good choice in terms of avoiding christie, but a bad choice in terms of his general election chances

And I found a really annoying idea
Now biden can use the same concept against trump, claiming he is the president and people already know him. So no need for a debate
Dnc is still protecting Biden from primary debates, which sucks. Protecting him from trump is even worse. But its smart for the corrupt establishment since Biden is liable to pull a Feinstein or McConnell any day now
I bet Trump and Tucker pulls 100+ million views live. The GOP debate will be lucky to pull 2m on FOX.

Debate is part of freedom of speech, and the electoral process. By not debating, and refusing to participate in the party's events, Trump is stifling the first amendment and the electoral process that he claims to want to uphold. In the event that Trump does this and still wins the nomination, it means that the entire American electoral process is theater. Ironically, by refusing to debate, or campaign (both things Biden did in 2020) he's attempting to fix the GOP leadership.
If he wants to run as an independant, he can do whatever the fuck he wants, but if he wants to lead the GOP, there's rules that need to be followed.
