The abortion thing - and Issue 1 in Ohio - was a joke.
What's concerning though is how good the Democrats did everywhere last night. The only thing that Republicans had was the Mississippi Governor being re-elected by beating Elvis' cousin but that's in deep red Mississippi...The abortion thing - and Issue 1 in Ohio - was a joke.
The pro life folks made zero concessions in an attempt to make abortions completely illegal no matter what. Woman gets pregnant after a rape? Not the child's fault - you're having that baby.
That's asinine. So instead of trying to make some common sense changes - like different late stage pregnancy limits and things like that - they swung for the fences with a ridiculous stance.
There was no way that was going to pass. I'm actually surprised it was as close as it was - but that was likely because the advertising was very misleading.
I don't even look at it as a GOP defeat.
It's a wacky religious bible-thumper defeat.
I do think the abortion thing as a whole hurt the GOP. Despite it being irresponsible governing, it was way too big of a flex. What's concerning though is how good the Democrats did everywhere last night. The GOP should have slam dunked the mid-terms. Then dunked again last night. But instead of concentrating on the complete ineptitude of this entire administration, the focus went to abortion and gave Dems one little arrow to keep people from kicking their asses out of DC.
- The economy is a wreck
- Our border is a fucking disaster
- The looney left focusing on LGBTQ and Trans Rights
- The VP can't put a sentence together without cackling
- Afghanistan clusterfuck
- 2 more proxy wars
- Insane censorship
- Biden unfit for the position
- Corruption
It was a colossal mistake. And I said so when it happened. Moronic decision with predictable results.
Does the Royal family appointed by God, have separation between church and state or nah?Lol.
You are a bunch of radical Muslims wearing a cross at this stage.
Speaker Johnson: Separation of church, state ‘a misnomer’
Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) pushed back Tuesday on the belief that there should be separation between church and state on the U.S., arguing that the founding fathers wanted faith to be a “big part…thehill.com

Why won't you answer the question? He's your head of state. Send him an email and ask him. I'm sure he makes time for all his subjects
Abortions would be cut in half with the viewing of this prior to abortion.
Why won't you answer the question?
Don't lump me in with that shit. I'm more of a Libertarian. And I firmly believe organized religion does more harm than good - and that it should have no influence over governing a population.Lol.

I am doing me. I'm not lock-stepping it with the Republican Party. They can all pretty much get fucked for all I care. But this country would have been WAY better off had the GOP not fucked around with this Roe vs Wade shit. Not necessarily because of the actual law - the states will sort that out. I'm talking about the existing Dems remaining in power.Problem is...Your highest ranking Republican fundamentally disagrees with you.
But hey. You do you.
I live here and I don't even know. Haha.That's a lie.
Are you aware of a human gestation period? Are you aware of Ohio law in regard to abortion term limits?
Lol. No of course you don't.
I live here and I don't even know. Haha.
I *think* it's legal up to 22 weeks.
But according to the advertisements for Issue 1 here:
- Yes Vote = Killing the baby is OK providing it hasn't exited the birth canal yet.
- No Vote = If a 13 yr old girl is raped by 5 guys and she gets pregnant she is legally mandated to have the child.
Bill Burr has the best bit on the subject. It is 22 weeks. And that vid posted is a nonsense.
That is the top end for abortion in all developed countries and at that late stage it's usually medical.
The far right bible/taliban types are talking out their arseswhen they talk of murdering babies.
Ridiculous stuff.
Bill Burr has the best bit on the subject.

You were mocking an American for making a statement about separation between church and state, but also live in a place where the church is the state. I had everything to do with it but, typically, you'd rather lie about things than admit you're off base.Because it's a dumb 'question'
It has nothing to do with what I replied to.
Was I the one being mocked? You were mocking an American for making a statement about separation between church and state, but also live in a place where the church is the state. I had everything to do with it but, typically, you'd rather lie about things than admit you're off base.
Another BAFTA for @FINGERS !
