It's another arrest for the troubled Jason Miller. The former UFC and Strikeforce fighter, aptly and commonly known as "Mayhem" throughout his career, was arrested outside "The White House" bar and restaurant in the pristine resort city of Laguna Beach, California. Grainy video (via TerezOwens) of his arrest, which can be viewed at the top of the page, shows him in handcuffs and struggling with officers who were trying to take him into the police van. There were plenty of unintelligible quotes throughout the clip but one man repeatedly shouted "Why don't you take the drunk guy home?", which was possibly referring to Mayhem.

Mayhem's ugly history with the law has been highly publicized in the MMA community. Late last year he engaged in a standoff with a SWAT team outside of his home, and even live-tweeted the event before surrendering to authorities. He plead not guilty to charges related to the standoff, which was preceded by officials serving a warrant on previous domestic violence charges. Going back a bit further, the 34-year-old was arrested in 2012 for his naked break-in of a church.

Bloody Elbow has been informed that Mayhem is currently still in custody but details of what he's charged with are not known, at this point. We will update this post with further details as they become available.

UPDATE: Bail Agent (and BE reader) Marco Zambrano has provided an update on Jason Miller's arrest. Miller is currently being held on charges of misdemeanor battery and resisting arrest. Bail has reportedly been set at $20,000. At this time there's no information available on the victim or the exact details of the incident that led to these charges.

How many times can someone get arrested without doing some serious time?!! Most of his arrests have been for assault in one form or another too iirc.

ahh, the soothing sounds of Matt Horwich's voice.

I trained with him for a bit and while rolling, he would speak to you. Very soothing conversation, about the multiverse and stuff. I think it was him working on concentrating and relaxing. Of course he was a million times stronger than me and 17 million times better, so I felt like a little kid being rocked to sleep by his dad. Although I would always tap before actually going to sleep.

That's how he is 24/7.

Used to think he was playing it up for the camera's. Now I hope he gets help and gets well, because I think he has a lot to offer.

i loved watching miller fight. i wish he was healthy when he fought for the ufc, so people could see how good he can really be. he still could have been fighting, and staying out of the news for this kind of crap.

I agree, their was a stretch(when Dream and SF was still up and running) that Mayhem was a tough fight for anyone at 185. He really went off the rails timed about when he moved back to the UFC. Mayhem of '07-'10 would have given Dolloway fits, and would have put up a much better fight against Bisping IMO.

Big fan of miller...seems like a good dude, the kinda dude you could have a pint with (when he's acting sane).....I hope he works it out...sometimes it's expanded patches of bad experience and failure that makes a man and I hope he comes out the other end with that big ass grin of his in tact.

Is it true that Howich always smelled terrible? I remember hearing or reading that some time ago, but don't know that it was ever confirmed. If true, why did he stink? I believe I heard that he wanted to smell as bad as possible because he felt it gave him some kind of advantage. Was I being trolled?

I really hope Mayhem gets himself under control. I always enjoyed watching him. He seemed like a very personable and normal dude. He has been on a downward spiral for a while now. If he don't get it together he will end up dead or sitting next to War Machine.

That's for sure been a tactic of Matt Lindland, curious if Horwich did it too. lol
