Leads to an interesting scenario that in some situations it might be cheaper to fire coach and not the player
I think we all know where this is going….once Deion’s kids all leave CU, he’ll get an offer from FSU he can’t refuse. He’ll end up turning the program around because he’ll be able to be more competitive in recruiting and could sway a few guys in the portal.
He just had an undefeated season. I don't think anyone who matters is going to be quick to pull the trigger on him.
That would be a better fit for his shit

Maybe not anyone that “matters”…yet….but there are already factoids like “since 1976, FSU has started a season 0-2 six times, and three of those have come under Norvell in 5 seasons” and “Norvell is 2-9 without Jordan Travis” floating around the Twittersphere.
That stuff starts to take on a life of its own, and fanbases are so fickle and forget past success really fast. And like Fanboy alluded to, got to wonder how NIL plays into in general…like do you bench a qb with all the NIL invested, or make changes at the top…there is going to be a marquis team at some point soon that makes a decision based on that.
Can you imagine if they lose to Memphis?
On a side note, you have to wonder if teams consider it a detriment now and serious risk in jeopardizing a season if you take an international game and lose. Not that it is the sole reason for FSU’s lousy performance against BC, but that trip and loss hangover may have had a little bit to do with it.
I don't disagree with your points but they just re-signed him to a massive contract when Bama held FSU hostage. They were never going to hire Norvell. It was Deboer the entire time which makes this that much better. Karma is a mofo FSU.

Dude, 1-9 vs the Gators in the 90’s. 3-18 from 1990 to 2010. And only beat Spurrier one time.
I moved to GA in ‘96’ when the Dawgs were in the middle of that bad run. Dawg fans were salty the week of the FLA game. I miss those days.
And Florida was still behind in the all-time H2H record after that stretch. 1990-2010 is 100% of Florida football history. Which now is just history
