They're really not. They're dry & crusty & on their own, there's pretty much nothing you can do with them. But when you add hot juicy roast beef to them & top it off with some horseradish the roll transforms into something wonderful. The juice from the beef soaks into the weck & makes it soft & soggy. I know it sounds weird to the uninitiated but beek on weck sandwiches are a staple to the people of Buffalo & the surrounding area. The started out as a bar sandwich as the initial dryness of the roll & the heavy salt on top led to a significant increase in beer sales.
So it's just Arby's!

Yep, the Great Northern Paper Co. was the lifeblood of that town. I feel bad for all those people who lost their jobs there. Downtown must have looked like a ghost town afterward.
Really was, you could have bought the whole downtown for a million dollars, like literally all the commercial space on main st.
