I play old man softball. After the handshakes I always tell the umpire thanks. Even the shitty ones. It's not unheard of for decent people to tell someone thank you when they are doing a thankless job.
Especially when they save your bacon 4 weeks in a row!

I would take a 70 year old tackle on the Pats, if he can pass block at all. Still would be better than what they have.

I think Brissett has been sacked about 20 times int he last two games.
I mean... he's played about 200 snaps the past couple of years... and hasn't been an All Pro for a decade.

Saw an interesting stat
Before 2020, only 20 games in NFL history had ever had over 150k bets placed on them

SInce the Partnership with Fan Duel, and all the gambling sites, every single game has had more than 200k bets placed on them since.

Degenerate Gambling WILL destroy the legitimacy of this league...we are already starting to see it creep in

I dont get why these bad OCs are so obsessed with having talented (and expensive) players be decoys. As an offense you already are losing the numbers game if your QB is not a great run threat so why waste a player as a decoy?

Defenses love it when you waste a potential pass catching threat. Also it really tells us that you think defenders are stupid since you run the same decoy sets.

OC's trying to outsmart themselves.

Sometimes it's just about getting the ball to your best players and allowing them to make plays

Yep.

Its a fools errand to use a superstar as a decoy to scheme open a lesser player rather than throw the ball to your superstar who is open even when they're covered.

I can see running a trick play, or somethign similar...once in a blue moon, that uses a star as a decoy.

But to create an offensive scheme that consistently only uses your best players as decoys is a fireable offense imo

IM surprised Allen wasn't in the protocol after that, but I think his head is filled with silly putty and Faygo anyway
Its funny... earlier in the game, Buffalo's center was taken out to test for a concussion on a routine play... then let back in only for the refs to stop him and send him back to the sideline...

But Allen gets drilled... his head snaps back onto the field (luckily its a sodded field)... and they don't even check him out.

I dont see Baltimore giving up the assets... or dumping salary on a true WR1.
Steelers dont have a good enough QB to take advantage of Adams.
Dallas 'couldn't afford' Derrick Henry.

Honestly, Pats have the room and are in desperate need of a WR1...but they have no line that can protect the qb long enough to even get a pass to a WR1 right now lol
