Mets / Braves are tied for the final Wild Card slot in the NL. Both at 88-72.

They are playing a doubleheader today. Both are makeup games from rain outs last week.

Mets just scored 6 runs in the 8th and now lead 6-3

Game 2 is slated to start immediately after.

If they split - both get in.

If one of them sweeps these two games, that team is in and the other is eliminated with Arizona (89-73) squeezing in there.

Considering the scenario - I would think they split.

Game 1 winner is in. No real reason to burn the bullpen up in a meaningless game 2 - especially with the actual playoffs starting tomorrow.

My bet? D-Backs are fucked.

Braves need to win Game 2 to claim that last Wild Card.

If they don't - D-Backs are in.
I would assume we'll see Severino pulled and the Mets will throw out a rag arm.

I don't bet baseball often - but I think this SHOULD BE an easy one for the Braves.

It looks like the Cheatros are about get elimated. 5-2 Detroit mid-8. If KC wins today, Baltimore is out and the Yankees play KC.
