My dad was a big nerd. When home microwave ovens first became mass available to the public, he bought one. It was fucking huge. This was in probably the early 70s. He made our Thanksgiving turkey in it. It was horrible. Tasted like a basketball. We never let him forget that.
Don't blame Dad. Guaranteed there was tons of marketing around that time telling you it was doable. I remember a lot of microwave gadget infomercials in the 90s.

Edit: Found it!

I barely use the microwave for anything. But if I had to, I'd make it work...

Martha Stewart has asserted that while in prison, she avoided eating the cafeteria food as much as possible. "Some of the food was dated, like, three years prior expiration. If it was 2001, the food was expired in 1999," she shared with Daily Mail. "I mean, you would not want to eat that food." Even her lawyer confirmed to NBC News that Stewart concocted microwave-friendly recipes with items she bought from the prison commissary.

Lol, wtf? I don't remember all those settings/functions growing up. Those are basically air fryers with that metal probe for crisping.

They didn't have them did they? I remember some lady putting a Wendy's burger into the micro at work and that thing sparking up like crazy.

Currently, my micro does have the probe on it for air fryer and baking functionality. I feel so retro rn.

My buddys parents still had an OG original microwave.
We didn't even have one yet (mid 80s) so I didn't understand how they worked. We were making popcorn and he said melt some butter in the microwave. I grabbed a little metal pan, put butter in, and threw that bitch in the microwave. He saw me and starts yelling WTF?!? So grabbed the handle and opened the microwave.

Fucker never turned off. Nuked myself.

That's not a bark that's a yelp. J/k, partner. Looks tender. I'd drown it in BBQ sauce and devour with some pickles and onions.

Trying to move back into a ketogenic diet I've got to stay away from sweets and meat partnered.
So for this just salt and pepper and beef and it tastes wonderful.
I make my own Cayenne pepper and literally bash salt lamps for himalayan salt.

Salt may someday be a commodity again as in Roman times, So I'm acclimating to natural as much as possible.
I do miss the smoke here, but this is an excellent go to

The pickles and onions are 100% man.

No, I do 225 for 11 hours, then pull it & let it sit for an hour.
I'm lucky I did that too because it ran on the cusp and 250 might have dryed it out.
Cool i get each oven is unique but the thermometer never lies, i have one in the oven and a digital probe
idk some people don't need anything everything always seems to be cooked to perfection with no effort

Any way to get the crispy bark or "burnt ends" from the oven without turning it into a boot, maybe unwrap for the last hour?

those peppers look nice you should bottle up that cayenne pepper and share it

Picked up one of those Ronco Rottiserre units at a garage sale recently for 3 bucks, looked brand new. Had one years ago and it made crazy good roto chickens.

Thinking of trying to do some sort of Gyro meat thing, not sure if that would work horizontally.
Might just do some lamb hunks or chicken.

Grilled peppers sweeten up any meat meal
