I was always 10 your fine, 11 plus your mine, and that was just for the stop but everyone got a warning unless they were an asshole. I was looking for other things besides speeders. The ones that slammed on their brakes and you could see the nose of the car dip down immediately are the ones that drew my attention due to their reaction of seeing me. Pulled a lot of warrants, drugs, etc out of those stops.
Basic tenet of traffic interdiction, look for what isn't the norm. Most people will look at you as they drive by to see if you are looking at them and ready to pull out, drivers with 1000 yard stares white knuckling it at 2/10 is not normal. Plus the passenger that was reclined back would all of a sudden pop up while throwing their seat belt on is also what we like to call a clue.
A friend of mine that's a COP told me that he took the nose dip as an admission of guilt. Possibly just speeding, but like you said, it's often a lot more. He told me that about 20 years ago, and thankfully, I haven't had a speeding ticket, since. I also always wave to LEO when I pass them.
Yep, people do it sub consciously, there are the one offs of a new driver or the elderly that get freaked out but those are easy to figure out. Also when they try and distance themselves from the car, purse, backpack, etc. Another clue.

Getting back on subject before somejuan mistook lotto tickets for speeding tickets...my dad won the triple 9 scratcher 20k. Stingy cunts in TAYHOSS gaming took nearly 5k of his winnings to tax. He spent his whole life playing scratchers and gambling so this was more like a loan getting paid back with no interest and getting stiffed part of the payment.

Back in the day we could cash like 5 grand in scratchers and it wasnt taxed we just had to mail it in the scratcher but they lowered the tax threshold to 600 bucks now so we get taxed on 600 dollars because they report it to the IRS. The most I won was maybe 500 bucks on scratchers but by then god only knows how many thousands I dollars I had spent losing or breaking even.

I usually pedal about 25 miles every Saturday. I stop and eat a gummy about halfway through the ride. Sometimes, I'll stop and get a beer or two. It's delightful.
