We currently have a batch of raccoons in the neighborhood that appear to be suffering from distemper. I think 4-5 of them had been "humanely euthanized" by folks over the past couple of weeks. We have 3-4 obese raccoons that come up on the wrap-around porch to eat cat food, but I chase them off every time I hear them because they fuck shit up and will carry off the bowls and leave them in flower beds.

The opossums get to stay and eat because they just eat the food out of the bowls and leave everything else alone.
