Because the teams have power. They are the employer.

Keep in mind most people view these situations through a comparative lens of their own lives. NFL players have much more leverage negotiating with their employer than your average citizen. So when a player says my 12 million a year isn’t good enough because I deserve 20, many people just think, “cry me a river, fuck you.”

Personally, I don’t know many people who have a problem with players trying to get as much money as possible, so maybe you just hear more complaining than I do.
I have no problem with players ASKING for more money, i have a problem with them acting like entitled d-bags and holding their team hostage when they don't get their way.
There's a difference there.

Yeah you’re talking about attitude, which can draw dislike no matter the situation. You can have an entitled attitude about being first in line for coffee and I’ll still want to smack you.

There are those people out there but I'm not really talking about them. When Burrow got his big deal people didn't complain. That was the system running its course and a player got paid what they are do. It's when players hold out people complain it seems. Both are the system being used how it was intended. I dont see why the NFL can cut pay but players can't hold out to them. Me and you are fine with it. I'm talking about those who dont like it.

Yeah I don’t hear a lot about it unless the player is a clear asshole, like Jamal Adams. But I also completely tune out talking head half-wits on TV and the internet.

I think once it gets into the territory of holding out and leaving your team in the lurch, or demanding a trade because you don't get what yhouw ant... you have entered asshole territory.

Hasaan Reddick, for example.

Reddick is an example of the Jets being stupid. The Eagles told them he would need a new deal before playing yet they traded for him anyways.

Yeah I don’t agree. If your contribution on the team isn’t being represented financially, I have no issues with holdouts. When Marshawn was doing his “hold-in” I completely agreed with him. He was the engine and heart of the team taking substantial physical punishment as a workhorse. At that juncture he had outperformed his contract was willing to risk fines and everything else for a market value adjustment. I was fine with that.

West coast best for football, starts at 10am ends by 8:30-9

UFC starts at 7, over 10-10:30

Couldn't imagine having UFC or primetime football finishing past midnight

That's perfect. You could have a dinner reservation after a game if you wanted

Someone just needs to sign Burfict for a week when they're playing the Chiefs.

Mahomes needs to take a sideline hit to recondition his bullshit of cutting back after the defense lets off.
100%

It's not brilliant or sly like Collinsworth likes to claim. It's bullshit. He knows he isn't going to get blasted so he sideline dances for 10 extra yards after it's obvious the defense has lightened up. If I was a LB I'd knock that cocksucker into next week. Fuck him.

Well, he's the only one who pussy foots it as well.
It's faggotry

It's the same thing as fake sliding...which they have made illegal
While we are discussing Mahomes faggotry, can we take a moment and talk about that gay signal he makes with his left hand after a play when he wants everyone to huddle up? I can't be the only one who gets annoyed as hell with that gay ass shit.
