You should've typed that out and read it for a couple of days before hitting post. Crazy how that sounded funny in your head.

Oh and you clowns would just follow us back so what's the point?

The only solution to the terrible injustice of Texas being in the SEC is for A&M to go back to the Big 12. That'll show 'em! All the SEC teams will then see how wrong they were and all the Georgia and Alabama fans will feel really bad.

Here... I'll give the refs some time for you

Smart became the fastest coach to ever reach 100 wins at an SEC school

701: The most total yards of offense Georgia has accumulated in a game. That came against UMass in 2018.

117: The number of games Smart needed to get to 100 wins. That is the fewest of any coach in the SEC, passing Nick Saban and Steve Spurrier.

77: The fewest yards allowed Georgia has given up in a game. That came against Vanderbilt in 2022

65: Most points a Smart team has scored in a game. This happened in the 2023 National Championship Game against TCU

62: The largest margin of victory for Georgia under Smart. That came in the 2022 home win over Vanderbilt.

62: The number of total draft picks that Smart has produced in his time in Athens.

50: Georgia has won 50 consecutive games against teams not named Alabama. The last loss to a non-Alabama team came against Florida in November of 2020.

34: The number of 5-star recruits - per the On3 Industry Rankings - Smart has signed in his time in Athens.

29: Georgia's longest win streak during his time in Athens. It started with a win over Michigan in the 2021 season and ended with a loss to Alabama in the SEC Championship Game.

29: The number of consecutive home wins Georgia has under Smart. That is the longest current streak in the country.

20: Wins over teams ranked in the top 10 of either the AP Poll or College Football Playoff rankings. Smart is 20-9 in those games.

19: The number of SEC head coaches that have been fired since Smart was hired at Georgia. Only Kentucky's Mark Stoops has been employed at their school longer.

17: The number of losses Smart has in his 9 seasons at Georgia. Florida coach Billy Napier has 17 losses already and has not yet completed his third season at Florida.

17: The number of first-round draft picks Smart has produced in his time at Georgia.

10: The number of shutouts Smart has notched in his time in Athens.

9: Smart has beaten Kentucky nine times, the most of any one opponent. Smart has also beaten Auburn nine times, but Auburn did beat Smart once in 2017. Smart got his revenge that year in the SEC championship game, which was Smart's first.

6: The team with the most wins against Smart. That would be Alabama.

6: The number of SEC East titles Smart won. Only Nick Saban and Steve Spurrier have won more divisional titles.

5: The number of assistants that have been hired directly off Smart's staff to become head coaches. Those coaches are: Mel Tucker (Colorado), Sam PIttman (Arkansas), Dan Lanning (Oregon), Fran Brown (Syracuse) and Dell McGee (Georgia State).

3 : Smart is 3-0 in College Football Playoff semifinals.

2: The number of teams Smart has a losing record against. That would be Alabama and LSU

2: The number of SEC championships and national championships Smart has won.

1: Only one assistant has remained with Smart through all nine years. That would be defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann.

.855: Smart's win percentage as the head coach at Georgia

0: The number of home games Smart has had against Alabama and LSU.

Few tidbits I read today
Rutgers will play USCw Friday night. Kick-off is 11p eastern. Washington will play at Indiana Saturday morning at 9a pacific. Fucking moronic

Lincoln nor his staff have visited Mater Dei or St. John Bosco since last spring. Dude absolutely does not fucking care and 100% does not want to be the HC at USCw. The only other reasonable conclusion is Lincoln doesn't realize he's allowed to recruit.

“We must be the greatest coaches in America, is what they’re basically telling me because we’re doing it with a bunch of guys that aren’t qualified to play at USC,” said Bosco head coach Jason Negro.

Edit to add "Only three of California’s top 50 recruits in the Class of 2025 are committed to the Trojans."

Oh and one more. It's long so I'm just going to copy/paste

First off, a possibility exists in the ACC where Miami, Clemson and SMU all go 8-0. None play each other, and SMU’s nonconference loss to BYU is not factored in. Imagine winning all of your league games and finishing third.

My “favorite” Big Ten mess would be this: Oregon (loss to Illinois), Illinois (loss to Penn State), Penn State (loss to Ohio State), Ohio State (loss to Oregon) and Indiana (loss to Ohio State) all go 8-1. Five-way tie! Realistically Oregon hands the Illini their second loss this weekend, but you could still have a four-way tie that would go deep down the tiebreaker list because there’s no common conference opponent.

And now to the motherlode: I came up with an eight-way tie of SEC teams all finishing 6-2: Georgia (losses at Alabama and at Ole Miss), Alabama (losses at Vanderbilt and at Tennessee), Tennessee (losses at Arkansas and at Georgia), Texas (losses to Georgia and at Arkansas), Missouri (losses at Texas A&M and at Alabama), LSU (losses at Texas A&M and vs. Alabama), Texas A&M (losses at South Carolina and vs. Texas) and Ole Miss (losses vs. Kentucky and at LSU).

I can't get behind this at all BUT it would be fascinating to watch.

For sure there is almost 0% chance it happens but the fact that it's this late in the season and still possible is ridiculous.

ESPN and the SEC need to come to a financial agreement on 9 games for 2026

I'm with the last part bc OU and the whorns need to pull their weight. Where's all the money Snakey was talking about?!

For sure because adding these two teams have not really benefited the existing members. Nothing substantial, they were going to sell out their games anyway. The slice each team received has stayed the same.
9 conference games
Minimum 1 P4 ooc
Maximum 1 FCS
It's not terribly complicated. And ESPN/Disney should be happy to pay since CFB is about the only consistent profitable portion of their tv portfolio. The DEI hires can't fuck it up with their shitty scripts

Ok I admit that Matrix @Matrix was right. All these years, and especially leading up to Texas joining the SEC.
I can't believe I rooted for them in 2005 v USCw. I'm adding that to my list of regrets in life. Fuck Texas

They run a lot of the media. At least the ones that mattered for so long. The SEC won't tolerate their shit like the other conferences in the past (this is my hope). Hell the other conferences bowed down to them. The main reason A&M decided to bounce after 100 years of history and WE still wanted the game. They didn't. Facts.

I can definitely see Texas losing on the road at DWR. It wouldn’t matter if we were 0-9 going into that game, the stadium will be at capacity and the old dogs will bring the hatred. Most of us younger hog fans weren’t around for the Texas rivalry but in recent years it’s been returning and the hogs have been winning.

Riley not visiting Mater or Bosco is amazing, especially with your territory now opened up to Ohio State, Michigan, etc.

You would think this could give USC the out they want. Wording in contracts can be vague but his actions don't seem to align with a guy making 12ish a year.

His buyout is rumored to be around 90 million, and if SC tried to skirt around it lawsuits would fly like confetti.

That school is rich, but 90 mil is an anchor. I don’t think he’s going anywhere for awhile.

Eventually all of the ADs and school presidents have to agree to 1) cut back on extensions just because a coach has one double digit winning season 2) cut back on the buy-outs for low performing coaches 3) include language that gives them a reasonable out for coaches that aren't even attempting to win at a high level

There definitely needs to be a restructured model at some point. Buyouts tied in with performance metrics at minimum.

Generally speaking, college football is a fucking mess.

Here's a look inside one of the most profitable athletic departments in the country. The division between the haves and have-nots in college sports will grow in the next decade. If the B10 and SEC finalize am agreement for their most popular schools to play each other more, where will that leave the 2nd-tier SEC teams like Texas A&M? I hope they will be okay.
