Yeah I saw this & couldn't fng believe it.
Child endangerment?
And then(as usual) they attempt to extort a lesser charge/admission of guilt.
How about charging the police with kidnapping & wrongful imprisonment, harassing, and attempted extortion?
Good for her for standing her ground.

I hope that mom sues the absolute dogshit out of everyone involved. I also hope that stupid cunt of a COP loses her job.

I used to walk a mile and a half to go get my grandmother cigarettes from the store back in 80's when I was younger than that kid.

If you lived in town where I grew up you had to walk to school, only the kids outside of town rode the bus. We were walking almost 3 miles to middle school and 2 miles to the high school where our house was. In elementary I was walking right around a mile.

Most kids and young adults are pussies these days because of shit like this, and it's weird because their parents usually experienced the same shit you and I did. There are way too many warning labels and there's way to much coddling in America.

Yep my wife was guilty of this with our daughter, we literally lived three houses down from the school and my wife would drive her there. It took longer to get in and out of the school parking lot then if she would have just walked. I got tired of arguing with her about it.

Seriously? The kid is fucking 11. What 11-year old can't walk a mile by himself?

I was riding my bike home from school (roughly a mile, I guess?) with a house key, letting myself into an empty house, and staying there by myself until my parents got home. When I didn't have school, I stayed home by myself...just called my mom at work to ask her if I was Ok if I went out with my friends, riding my bike, etc, then had to call her again when I got back to let her know I was home...however many hours that was later.

I started doing that in the 3rd grade...so I guess around when I was 9?

And the cops arrest this lady for letting her 11-year old walk a mile?

Fuck right off you pany-ass bitches.

You should have tried slapping your wife, that usually works.

Unless she's a stabber.

I went through the exact same thing with our kids. Wife thought the little babies had to be picked up and delivered 5 blocks to school, I said the walk to school was good socialization time for the kids.

Agreed, we got into so much shit walking, snowball fights, stopping at the corner deli to grab a pop and swedish fish, we would start with like a group of ten just walking and talking, kids would split off to different streets as we went by, till it was just you walking into the house.

In the morning it would be a reverse. Sometimes we would hit the ymca in the morning because they had just put video games in the lobby. We would spend our lunch money playing defender or vector.

Surprising this even happened. Fannin County is a pretty awesome and chill place in the mountains. I used to know all the judges up there. I don’t see this going anywhere.

Same here. I didn't walk quite as far but it was easily 1.5 miles to my middle school and 2-miles to my high school...................Up hill both ways.
