God damn you and your accurate predictions lol.

I only saw highlights, but after a terrible start for Miami, as soon as I saw the light sprinkling of snowflakes falling and a shot of Mike McDaniel shaking like a leaf from the cold I knew that a comeback was incredibly unlikely.
I mean it’s not that complicated. It happens to them every single year. When they’re healthy early in the year, they play like hell on wheels as long as the weather is warm. Once it gets below 70, good luck.
they are a speed finesse team. They’re not built to be tough in bad weather or against physical teams.

if they could actually get to the Super Bowl, which is always played in a dome, they would be a problem. The problem with that is they have to go through teams like Buffalo and Kansas City in the playoffs and those are going to be cold weather games.

For example, the dolphins had like first and goal last night. Tried to punch it in four times and turned the ball over on downs. They’re just not built to be a physically dominating team when they need to be.

is the league still letting the Dolphins getting away with players moving moving forward in motion before the snap? Because they cheated a lot of open receivers that way last year

One thing I did see last night, which was nice to see that I’d like to point out is the play where Tuagot hit from behind.

The defender hit him across the back and shoulders, and Tua went to the ground. The refs threw a roughing the passer flag on it.

It went to the leagues automatic review system, and they overturned that call because it wasn’t a roughing the passer because he didn’t get hit in the head.
Blows my mind how refs can be that blind on the field

without that new review system that would’ve been a bullshit call and given the dolphins 15 more yards

We are past the Thanksgiving games so I think its a large enough sample size to say Tom Brady is really bad at being a game caller. He's not Jason Witten levels of bad where he would just forget to speak but Brady is NPC level bad where it feels like he's not programmed to actually more to the game.

Listening to Greg Olsen who Brady bumped off only makes it clear how much better he is over Brady. Fox really fucked up bumping Olsen down.

Antonio Pierce is horrible, should have at least taken a second look at that third down before letting offense run that 4th down play. Looked like a clear first down. LV got stuffed on 4th. He is a big reason this team isn't good IMO.

AOC is much better than minshew, that was a really bad sack though. His pocket awareness needs work.

Raheem Mostert led the league in TDs last year, and was incredibly successful at punching the ball into the end zone in situations exactly like that one.

I'm not sure what's different this year, perhaps his injury earlier in the year is still affecting him, or maybe the OL isn't playing as well, but don't forget McDaniel was the run coordinator at San Fransisco. It's not an area he neglects on offense.

I don't think the Dolphins "cheated" receivers open last year, the phrase "cheat motion" just refers to the receiver starting in motion to the side of the formation they are already on from the slot position, rather than crossing the formation behind the QB like usual. It was a way to stop defenses from having time to hand off the responsibility for that receiver from one defender to another pre-snap.

If you had a choice, would you prefer your team be the worst 10-1 team, or best 4-7 team?
Fair point.

But if both make the playoffs I like the Bengals to advance further than the Chiefs.

That’s an interesting take. The Bengals are always dangerous because the have an elite QB and receivers, but if you haven’t figured it out, these Chiefs are a team of destiny.
It’s in God’s hands, and there’s nothing any team in the league can do about it.
