It was well understood by pretty much everyone at the time that he was over prescribing his patients, we all knew that. But it was given a pass because he was dealing with cancer patients and they eat narcotics like you and I breathe air.
In my few direct interactions with the man it was clear he had a massive ego.

Medicare gives them an overall rating of 2/5, a health inspections grade of 2/5, and a quality measures rating of 2/5. Only 25% of their residents are up-to-date on vaccinations. Only 2.4% of their staff are up-to-date on vaccinations. Their last health inspection found 25!! violations.
