I don’t think it reached far enough south for that, mostly panhandle-Big Bend area. It is cold down there but it wasn’t a snap freeze. There was plenty of warning it was coming so they should’ve been prepared.Citrus crops getting fucked this year?

Five days later. I’ll be 66 years old tomorrow, longest I’ve seen snow on the ground here before this was 2 days.
Actual temp was around 21 with single digit windchill. Tonight will be first night above freezing in a week. It actually got colder last winter and the winter before, with several successive nights in midteens, but without the precipitation.what was the lowest temp it hit?
Yeah, we’re just not equipped to handle it here. It paralyzes cities like ATL where it happens much more frequently, and we’re 250 miles south of there.I'm not gonna lie, in Canada we'd still be walking around in shorts.
The thing is though, if you don't get that kind of weather, it's a huge shock, so good on them for handling it so well.
