Very few rbs deserve higher salaries. For most rbs their success is defined by a good offensive line and solid passing game.

That said, most of these QBs getting 60 mill don't deserve it either.

Dak maybe deserves 30, up to 40 if you're being generous. For him to get what an elite QB would get is fucked up. 60 should be reserved for the game changing QBs that can put the team on their backs.

Id probably put brock purdy in that 40ish mill tier, which is still really great compensation for what he does. Better than average but not a manning, Brady, Rodgers (in his prime) type.

The top tier ones are definitely worth it, though.

Look at Baltimore... they are always near or at the top of the league because of Lamar... but no combination of JK Dobbins, Mark Ingram, or Gus Edwards could break a game like Derrick Henry did this past season.

While I agree that James Cook wanting $15m/year is silly... but a top 5 RB should absolutely make that.

Yeah, but there’s really only a handful of those true game changing running backs in the league. Just like there’s really only a few elite quarterbacks in the league that are deserving of those salaries.

for example, Trevor Lawrence. He should be arrested for theft because that contract is just stealing from the Jaguars.

This.

The biggest problem in the NFL is that every free agency, A tier players demand a higher contract than the current S tier players... and then the B tier do the same with A tier guys...

So you have a league with Dak and Lawrence and Daniel fucking Jones making S tier money.

I think no player should be above 25 mill, but bidding wars change all of that

Basically your super elite players.

So like your S Tier QBs would be Mahomes, Lamar, Allen, and maybe Burrow.

Your S tier RBs would be Saquon, healthy CMC, and King Henry
Are we really certain burrow is S tier. Seems like he needs S tier recievers that do a shitload of YAC and even then usually doesn't do much in any given season. This past season in particular I was not impressed whatsoever with Burrow.

A stat up there with Larry Fitzgerald's having more career tackles than drops is Martin in his 6656 Pass protection snaps he has given up 0 accepted holding penalties. Truly an all time great. Guards don't get as much love form the media so it most likely will not happen but hes 1st ballot HOF material.
Yanda missed first ballot... so I'm betting Martin does too.

Man... back before Madden really shit the bed, my offensive line would always have Yanda and Martin at my guard spots (yes, I moved one to LG).

he wasn’t right for the first half of the year. He was coming off an injury and I don’t think he was completely healthy.

also, despite the Chiefs record which was pumped up, Mahomes wasn’t an S Tier quarterback this year either. In fact, he was 16th in the league in passer rating.

Maybe "healthy joe burrow" belongs right up there in the mystical sports lexicon along with "sea level cain" and "motivated bj penn".
