"I went out to see her in L.A.," Fertitta told Sporting News. "Had some real good conversations with her. She is, as you would expect, very disappointed. Distraught, to some extent. She's never lost. She never lost a fight in the Octagon. She never lost a fight in the street. She didn't know what it was like. Right? ... She is champing to be back in there. She made some commitments before the fight to make two movies. So she's going to do that. Then get back to training in the Octagon."

Rousey will star in Nick Cassavetes' remake of 'Road House' and appear alongside Mark Wahlberg in Peter Berg's "Mile 22," both set to begin filming early in 2016.

"She has options," said Fertitta. "But let me tell you what. Ronda is the single most competitive person I've ever met in my life. If you don't think she isn't ready right now ... She's plotting her comeback. I don't think anything can stop her from coming back."

Fertitta admits he's still working out the details on booking Rousey in the rematch against Holm, but it's no secret that the promotion has earmarked the bout for July 9 atUFC 200 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"I think it will be the biggest fight in UFC history," said Fertitta. "We certainly believe that as a company. I think the world will be interested in a rematch because it was a huge upset. So many people thought Ronda was just completely invincible. To see her get beat like that was a shock. They want to see if she can come back."

Amazing, just amazing.

Even though she got the shit beat out of her by Holm, it's still supposed to be

RONDA ROUSEY!

Zuffa has to move on. This whole 'playing favorites' thing has ruined any integrity our beloved sport has had.

Dana and Company have made it no secret who they are backing nowadays:

Ronda
Conor
Sage
Paige

Everyone else can go fuck themselves, except maybe Joe Lauzon, because he's from Boston, same as Dana.

The bias is shameless these days, and that's a shame.

It's not not like she got Matt Serra/GSPed, she got picked apart by skill and game plan. If that happens in a rematch, she'll never, ever be the same, and likely not fight again.

I do suppose Holm did all her marketing in that first fight, no need to give her any credit.

Oh I dont think it's even a question at this point. She loses the rematch, and her MMA career is over.

I don't see how she can learn the skills necessary to beat Holly in one fight camp. Perhaps the UFC don't even want her to win, and that's why they are setting her up like this, wanting to cash out in a big way at UFC 200, as they don't believe she would be around for long anyway.

Draw people in with Rousey's return for UFC 200, feed her to Holly, and use the double win to cement Holly's fame and drawing power. Which might not hit the heights of Ronda's, but if she became a consistent 500k+ draw it would be a massive home run for Zuffa. After which if she goes on a run, who's to say she won't start getting that badass, on a streak, unbeatable champ numbers that Ronda started to get.

She'd said exactly that. If she loses she is done, but I think even if she does wins, she has one foot out of the door and won't be keen to risk losing again.

Sounds like the actions of a person who knows they're going to lose anyway.

Oddly they are about to kill Rousey career. They pimp her, they won't give Holm the schedule she wants, but the Rousey timeline pretty much guarantees she's gonna get destroyed.

Maybe an actuary did the math and decided that the rematch will make more money than any other path. But I just can't see it. It's short term gain but killing the golden goose.

This is the only explanation. Ronda has told zuffa she is out at a predefined time and they are getting what they can out of her.

Zuffa is all about milking it for whatever it's worth and then tossing it aside. They try to make sure it's worthless before it's tossed aside though, just to be sure.

How many former UFC stars still have their reputation intact that no longer work for Zuffa?

Maybe GSP, because they hope he'll come back one day, and he's still locked up for life.

Royce, Shamrock, Ortiz, Couture, Vanderlei and Anderson Silva.

All have been raked over the coals by Dana and Co.

Chuck and Matt Hughes are OK. They got office positions.

Ronda will get trashed before she's gone too, just so she's worthless to a rival organization. Bank on it.

Anderson raked himself over the coals.

Anderson raked himself over the coals.
So did Vanderlei right, and Royce, and Ken and Frank Shamrock, and Randy Couture, and Tito Ortiz?

Yep, it was all their fault.

I didn't say that. I said Anderson did it to himself.

Name a Zuffa era UFC hero that left with a good name on his or her own terms.
