I didn't mean to imply that it was but spending time with their mother at a Korean church can be looked at as a good thing in more ways than not. imo :/
And I agree with you about the arguing i.e. that's not part of a healthy relationship.
We will have to agree to disagree. I know people IRL who use religion to justify shitty morals. People who teach and preach for a living and who I consider friends.

My honest advice would be just to go with the flow. It won't kill them to get some moral bearing and exposure to an aspect of their mother's cultural heritage at the same time. Involving others will only make this worse. Don't refer to your wife with derogatory words, even in harmless writing like on this forum. It's tempting, I know but as a separated man, I know that things started to get really bad when I allowed myself to feed the negative energy my wife was giving me with my own negativity. It's poison brother, trust me.
You can outsmart, outlast and mitigate the degree to which going to church affects your kids.:alarmclock:
Cheers Blank but Christianity has nothing to do with Koreas heritage. They idiotically adopted it to replicate European and more so American financial and technological success. They even started making their kids read the torah because of how successful the Jews are.

Fucking retarded but true Hahahaha

"We tried to understand the secret of the Jewish people. How do they – more than other nations – manage to reach such impressive achievements? How is it that Jews are such geniuses? The conclusion we reaches is that one of your secrets is studying Talmud."

Excellent powers of deduction dear Watson

What assholes, I hope they dont hold it against your kids at least.

Science is the key though mum was telling ours that Jesus makes it rain so I said fuck it and showed them the condensation process using the old cold bowl of water over a steaming pot and theres no convincing them that Jesus makes it rain now.

I also asked mum if Jesus makes it rain why doesnt he stop all the droughts in Africa and Australia? she tried the "He works in mysterious ways" which didnt fly with the kids, they are too logical at that age, that shit only works on polluted grown up minds

Thailand is in Asia where mimickery is rife, I just dont understand why they dont think "Okay the Jews do okay for themselves, they didnt model their culture on anyone else's, maybe we need to find our own way too"

Anyways Im derailing my own thread again

Not at all...they did kind of battle to get my kids to fall in with their beliefs..but the logic behind science won..plus there's no additional school if you're not religious which is probably the reason they both opted not to be Christian or jewish. Lazy bastids..I tell ya.

I guess I should have written that better. I am kind of aware that Christianity and Korean heritage aren't exactly historical kin folk. What I meant is that your wife and the kids can kill two birds with one stone on this front. They get the whole religious view point which your wife and mother of your children seems to value and they get to speak Korean and bond with Koreans afterwards. I do find it interesting that people need this connection with their ancestry and/or ethnicity yet try to pretend there isn't some racial discrimination programmed into everyone's dna (off topic, I know).

No, we can agree that such people exist but I hope you're not trying to suggest going to church is inherently worse than not going to church. My opinion is that self-serving cunts are beyond the reach of any faith or priest. They're pieces of shit and it probably started at a very very early stage in their lives.

Problem is my man that their cult requires that you attend all day Sunday dawn till dusk plus mid week meetings.

Its not a normal church Im a Marist Brothers old boy I know my church even though I am not catholic or christian.

On the ethnicities sticking together thing its only some, white people dont seem to need it neither do my people indo-Fijians we dont care ive never had a friend of the same ethnicity as me ever. Also on that my kids are dark skinned, putting them in a situation where they are around only korean children is begging them to be racially abused its already happened.

I grew up around only white kids and the racism started when I was around 10. Korean kids as young as 3 will refuse to play with my kids and blatantly declare why and the parents laugh it off saying its "normal "

Its a very tricky situation. As always appreciate your input mate

I see. Well, I wish you luck. Maybe the kids need to try it for a year until they mutiny? Maybe this will give you a chance to give you some free time to yourself?

White folks do stick together when they are allowed to by society but it's racist when we do it- kidding. White folks who don't have mixed ancestry and who weren't bombarded with the multi-culti b.s. will tend to stick together e.g. Poles, when abroad.

Anyhow, I admit I have no answers but that's for you and your wife to solve. But please, be positive and keep it between you two, your kids will thank you for it. Peace

Well I AM implying that going to church is not inherently better than NOT going to church.
