If the Strike counter says a strike is significant and judges don't you kill your judging system or the use of any stats, period.

The whole thing is mickey mouse, either he did land that many "significant" strikes or he didn't and Robbie won the close rounds. It's very simple.

If one way says Robbie won, fine stick to it, the way points are rewarded, he didn't, it shouldn't depend on the wind blowing which one is used
Strike counters are notoriously unreliable, but no one can be bothered to go through the fight to check their stats. I know what my eyes saw.

But that stat says literally every strike Condit landed was significant.

Come on!!

Yeah that's off I don't get that but the volume still suggests he landed as many or more than Robbie. Didn't land 196 Strikes and less than 78 were significant.

100%.

And even if they are reliable... MMA isn't amateur boxing where the goal is to land the most strikes. It's about effective aggression and damage. Can we really equate the right hook Robbie dropped Condit with in the 2nd to a grazing jab by Carlos that was half blocked? Doesn't make sense.

Why strike counters are bad. Robbie got outlanded in round 2, from my memory, but he definitely won that round and I don't think anyone would disagree.

Carlo landed about 200 more strikes. What are we even hissing about

Only one way to fix judging. Remove it. Schedule all fights to 8 rounds. If one DOES go that far ( rare ) and no one is KO/TKO/Submits, its an automatic draw

That they weren't as awesome as robbies 87
Try arguing that in hockey.

Carli beat the shit out of rob for the fight and got a couple sketchy moment. He proved who the real champ is though

At least he was willing to answerquestions
Like I said I have no problem with him as a person, but on those nights where it was 5 pages of him defending his view of something his logic was usually flawed and not even in line with the two sides of a close fight like wanting a 10-8 in 5.

Good guy just thinks MMA should have a level of judging it never ever has.
