The MMA/UFC debut of former WWE superstar CM Punk is a hotly discussed topic these days. Will he, won’t he ever even step into the octagon?
Fans finally found out for sure who his very first opponent would be, when UFC newcomer Mickey Gall won his debut and earned the fight. Gall, now 2-0 in pro MMA, is lined up to welcome the former pro wrestler to the world of fighting. When that will finally take place is now a little bit of a mystery.
Just days after that fight was announced, Punk revealed that he was going to have back surgery and would need to push his debut back, once again. As you can imagine, fans and even other fighters are starting speak out with their frustration, that this guy came over thinking he was going to jump into the UFC octagon having no MMA experience and is now seemingly leading people on, in their opinion.
Whether he’ll fight or not is something that can’t be answered at this point. It appears as though he’s getting ready to, but who knows what is around the corner.
Apparently, UFC middleweight fighter Michael Bisping went on a Sirius XM Radio show and said that Punk brought in 16 ‘smokers’ to the gym (smokers are essentially test fighters. You bring them in, go through a real fight situation in the gym, a gym fight if you will). The bad news, allegedly he lost to 15 of them.
So, do you think he’s even ready to get in the cage?

Funny if true. I wonder who the 1 guy to get his ass kicked by CM Punk was? Sucks for him.
CM Punk will never fight in the UFC.
