yeah, they let him go on the mic.. the angle was he had a couple weeks left on his contract and was going to win the title/take it with him. I was there and you can see me in the promo holding up the white sign there. @lookoutawhale screen capped it.. was amazing.. everyone was like "what the fuck? Is this real?" even ESPN and various news sources at the time were calling up for interviews and trying to see if it was a shoot or not.

Was a great build up and a 5star match that ended up with him taking the belt for a few weeks outside of hte WWE.. he showed up at comic con panels talking shit to HHH and others.. they should have made it last a bit longer IMO.. would have been amazing if he was gone a month or two and just showing up at UFC, ROH, and various indy shows with the WWE belt and them showing it.

Fair sure, but spending so much money and matching Eddie vs Cerrone(who was top 3 at the time), was bit questionable. They did the same with Myles Jury after he beat Gomy who wasn't ranked very high. Giving a fighter a top 5 opponent is too much of a step up right away.

What they should've have done is gave Eddie a top 8 opponent in his first fight. Then a title shot or then a top 5. Fighters also usually don't perform good in their first UFC fight, but yeah of course Eddie is legit. I only question the match making a bit.

Bisping might be a shaky source, but if Punk had been doing well in training we'd have heard about it. There was some initial enthusiasm from Duke and a few others, but it was followed by a long silence, leaving everyone to wonder WTF was going on. After a while, it was obvious. Punk isn't ready and won't ever be.

As already suggested, the UFC is covered either way. They got some worthwhile advertising from Punk to cover the worst-case (but also fairly likely) scenario that he wouldn't ever fight. In the very unlikely event that he demonstrated real talent for MMA, there was a goldmine waiting.

So basically CM Sucks lost to the greenest rookie the ufc had for him to fight and all he managed to do was get taken down in 4 seconds, got punched and elbowed about 40 times then got choked out where he tapped out immediately like all bitch. He could have at least gone out on his sword and made Gall choke him unconscience but instead like the bitch he is he tapped right away. He's not Brock Lesnar who actually has serious wrestling credentials....I'll ignore the fact he got busted for using ped's by the ufc recently for now for the purposes of this post. He got paid 500k just to show up plus 2,500 from reebok for wearing shorts and may have been given even more undisclosed money that we don't know about. The entire card had 20 fighters and a payroll of roughly 3.2 million counting reebok bonuses and this unproven ass gets a sixth of the total. Wonder why REAL fighters all hate him and think he's a joke....ya even those he trains with just say good things so they don't look petty, it's called being a professional. At the very least he made 502,500 to get his ass beat for 2 minutes. This is why he gets no respect from me or most because I would happily take a beating for 2 minutes for that much loot and again I think so would most. This guy is a scrub and at 37 shouldn't even try anymore. It's too late. Hope he has some wwe money left or the wwe will take his dumbass back because Dana white has already basically said CM Chump is done in the ufc. If so good friggin riddance to this delusional waste of space, disgrace to mms and slap in the face to all REAL fighters.

CM is technically a fighter now and I don't think he has much skill but can't be name calling fighters here like that.
