These are the fighters he has signed since he became the president of Bellator:

Ben Henderson

Wanderlei Silva

Rampage Jackson

Sergei Kharitonov

Phil Davis

Josh Thompson

Chris Leben

Anastasia Yankova

Ed Ruth

Kimbo Slice

Josh Koscheck

Royce Gracie

Bearing in mind the monopoly of the ufc in the mma world, I think Coker has provided Bellator with some excellent household names. If Viacom is patient enough and let him do what he wants for the next 5-10 years, I think the mma landscape won't be as one-sided as it used to be.

Well Bjorn signed Rampage. Then Rampage left Bellator in the middle of his contract citing (i think) breach of contract by Bellator.
But was forced to return or face a lengthy and costly court battle.

He also signed and promoted Ronda Rousey back when the UFC's stance was "women will never fight in the octagon"

Pretty good list of fighters. That's a big accomplishment, especially since they all seem to be much happier with the way they were treated and paid.

Solid bunch of signings. It may not look like much as your going through th process but once u look back at all the signings, it is actually a pretty big accomplishment. If most of these fighters fight in 2016, Coker will definitely have another record breaking year. We will see fun scraps for sure.

Brilliant, eh?

I see a couple of legit signings and a fuck load of washed up guys pushing 40 (or 50, in Royce's case).

Bellator is becoming the place where UFC gatekeepers go to win championships and retire.

Sadly, only about half of those fighters are anywhere near their prime.

I totally agree with you. None of these moves are "brilliant" as much as they are common sense. As a tier 2 fighting org, who wouldn't sign ex-UFC fighters? lol

but with that said, Coker has done a nice job

Just like Cheik Kongo and Tito Ortiz did huh
They will retire from there soon. Look at all the signings, ex UFC fighters that were still good but just not good enough to make it to the top again. Look at the main cards from a few weeks ago. Kimbo, Royce, and Shamrock will never be known as Bellator fighters just ex UFC fighters.

Funny thing is at the end of the day, more will be watching.. More success brings more money, more money allows you to do bigger things like bid for other name fighters.

Love it or hate it, coker knows what he is doing.
