Pretty good list of fighters. That's a big accomplishment, especially since they all seem to be much happier with the way they were treated and paid.
Pretty good list of fighters... past their prime. He's getting by on name recognition. Bellator is truly the masters division.

Pipe dream alert: I'd love to see Zuffa sell the UFC to Viacom, combine both these rosters together, keep the UFC brand and then run co-promotions with Rizin and ONE, with the flexibility of allowing fighters to compete in kickboxing too. I still want to see the best fighting the best, I just wish a classier company with more imagination was in charge of it all.

These are the fighters he has signed since he became the president of Bellator:

Ben Henderson

Wanderlei Silva

Rampage Jackson

Sergei Kharitonov

Phil Davis

Josh Thompson

Chris Leben

Anastasia Yankova

Ed Ruth

Kimbo Slice

Josh Koscheck

Royce Gracie

Bearing in mind the monopoly of the ufc in the mma world, I think Coker has provided Bellator with some excellent household names. If Viacom is patient enough and let him do what he wants for the next 5-10 years, I think the mma landscape won't be as one-sided as it used to be.
Saddest joke ever.

Alright. Here's that list-

Ben Henderson
Wanderlei Silva
Rampage Jackson
Sergei Kharitonov
Phil Davis
Josh Thomson
Chris Leben
Anastasia Yankova
Ed Ruth
Kimbo Slice
Josh Koscheck
Royce Gracie

Of everyone on that list, I'd say these Wand, Rampage, Kos, and Leben are just in it now for fun fights that bring attention. Royce Gracie was likely one and done. If not, it's not like he's gonna be fighting Koreshkov or anything. And Kimbo Slice is just there to draw ratings, which he does. No ones under the impression that he's gonna compete for a title or anything.
You forgot the ever underacheiving yet over promoted Melvin Guillard. Another UFC relic that they constantly dissappoint their fans with. Phil Davis is great but he did lose to Bader and Rashad. Two UFC fighters that will never be close to the top of the UFC again. When the UFC wants to actually keep their free agents they do, see Algermain Sterling. Bellator is just picking up the scraps at this point. They even let a sitting champ leave due to lack of competition for him.

Bellator has good young talent but lets see how many of them are still there if they keep winning. I wouldnt be surprised if Benson and Phil davis didnt end up back in the UFC at some point.

Spencer Fisher (39)
Francisco Trinaldo (37)
Takanori Gomi (37)
Josh Burkman (35)
Diego Sanchez (34)
Jim Miller (32)
Melvin Guillard (32)

Please. It's not like either of those losses were one sided dominations, and let's not re-write history- both guys were near the top of the division easily when those fights took place.

I'm sure that's the way they want the story told but you know they would have kept Benson if they could have.

They even let a sitting champ leave due to lack of competition for him.
So? The UFC let two go- BJ Penn and Randy Couture.

The UFC didnt let BJ go, he won the championship and fought Gomi because he wanted to. They didnt refuse to sign him.

As far as Melvin goes, he wasnt good in the UFC and is even worse in Bellator. Bellator just has no on left. As of now tne only division that has legit claim to bing top tier is their lightweight division. Do they even have a HW champ? McGeary wouldnt even be top 20 in the UFC at this point. They have alot of work to do and hanging tneir hopes and dreams on ex UFC fighters just shows how limited they really are. Right now they are basically Titan FC with a tv deal.

I hope he lives up to his potential. We need more coming out of the ranks like him.

Forgot that Bellator signed him---Countown to Pico begins now!

Didn't Peter Gabriel sing a song about him? And that was decades ago. Whatever you think of his music, that dude had some foresight.

Aaron Pico, Ed Ruth and Tyrell Fortune are all gonna be tough to deal with. Everyone better really start drilling that takedown defense ASAP.

Imagine having your own tribute album before you were even born, and for things you couldn't even do anyway since the sport didn't exist yet. And yet Aaron seems so grounded! Fuckin' amazing, man.
