Her walk around weight is 148 lbs, give or take 1 or 2 pounds and she takes 3 days to cut down to 135 mostly through diet, draining water only on the day before weigh in. She competed in the Olympics and half her judo career at 155 lbs but also competed half her judo career at 138 lbs. Judo weigh ins are same day so there's no exploiting the weight rules like in MMA. When she stopped doing judo and started doing MMA full time she immediately dropped 15 lbs. These are her words.
It's disingenuous to say she weighs 160-165 lbs. It's been 9 years since she weighed anywhere close to that weight. If you are going by the old eye test, it's historically inaccurate, especially when you have nothing in the picture frame as a point of comparison.
I've already conceded she probably went over her typical walk around weight of 148 lbs when she was unable to fully train for 4 months but that's certainly not an example of prime fighting weight Ronda, which is what you are suggesting. Can she just show up for a 145 lb fight without worrying about cutting or gaining weight? Sure. Almost every 135er can do it but why would they when Cyborg shows up weighing a shredded 160 lbs on fight night like she did against Tweet?
