Looks like Netflix wants to put some more Punisher in our lives. Jon Bernthal will reprise the role. No details were revealed but they did release a teaser pic.

It hasn't been confirmed whether he'll appear in The Defenders but based on how well received he was in Daredevil season 2 and now this news, I have a feeling he'll make a brief appearance.
If you liked how Jane played it, you'll probably like Bernthal's portrayal as well.

Well since you talked me into it lol. Do you recommend I watch the first season of DD or will I be able to make out The Punisher role in season 2 without it?
There's not even a hint of the punisher in the first season so you don't need to watch season one for that.
It's a good show so I would recommend watching it even if you're not crazy about Daredevil. I have friends that have no interest in comic books but they've watched and liked it.
I'm excited for Luke Cage and Iron Fist.
Watch season 1, its great (better than the second for me). I guess its not mandatory but you won't get a lot of interpersonal things and history.
