It's his job, it's not petty for him to break news. They are working an event, not some special guests there for a party. It's a mutually beneficial relationship. The UFC aren't doing them favours by having them there.
Listen to his podcast they've done him a shit ton of favors. Again they are a private company that can pick and choose which media outlets to allow special access at their events. Why would they want to extend that to someone who's breaking one of their big announcements while he's sitting enjoying special access at that very event. He can still be a journalist just as effectively without that pass. He was within his rights to break their announcement and they were within theirs to revoke his credentials. That's business, move on. Don't start a Twitter pod cast cry for me campaign.

It's clearly within the UFC rights to ban him or anyone for any reason. But when the reasoning is pretty much as terrible as possible... people have the right to question/be mad at the ridiculousness

Why would they want one of the leading interviewers covering MMA at one of their events? Ok, whatever. You don't understand why people are angry. You don't understand Ariel's job, or the relationship between the UFC and a reporter. There isn't much point to this, nice chat.

Im seriously considering unfollowing him on twitter.
Will this be a lifetime twitter ban?
Don't you think he has lost enough already?
Was he told not to cry before you unfollow him on twitter and if so who leaked your twitter demands?
I hope the media does not crush you for your stance.
:D

When that lead interviewer drops your big news while sitting at your event enjoying extra access it's a pretty legit reason to be pissed as a company. And for fucks sake ariel can absolutely still do his job just as competently without the credential. Yet I'm the one being obtuse. Continue letting your hipster zuffa hate sensationalize what should be a non issue

Have to say, I'm 100% on Ariel's side in terms of him simply doing his job and Zuffa being shit stains on humanity. However, and I am far from some insecure meathead, a grown man crying in public over anything less than the death of an immediate family member is honestly pathetic.

His career wasn't being taken away from him, both he and some of you over-dramatic girls need to understand that. Even if Zuffa stuck to their threat of banning him for life, which my blind dead dog could see was never going to happen, there are plenty of ways for him to work around it as we have seen with other MMA organizations and he has enough of a profile that he isn't going to be lining up for welfare any time soon.

He has confirmed that although he is good at what he does, he is also an overly-sensitive drama queen and needs to harden the fuck up.

I think he's a fucking genius. Everyone is on his side now. UFC fucked with the wrong dude.

But on a more serious note, I hope he stays successful in the sport and I think this will actually bring him to another level and further separate him from all the other average journalists.

It's a shame somehow for a dude to cry, or to be affected by an injustice, or losing something he worked hard on? If that is a big deal to you who is the drama queen? You are. You need to harden the fuck up :)

I really couldnt believe it when I saw video of it.

Its not like he lost a family member or something. He lost some fucking press credentials.

There is absolutely no way that you would catch me on video sobbing and crying like that over something so trivial. Especially when its seen by thousands of people.

I would probably change my name and move to Cambodia or something.

What are your guys' thoughts on this?

Me personally, I cant take him seriously anymore and Im seriously considering unfollowing him on twitter.
He should change his name anyways. He's named after a fucking mermaid for Christ's sake.

id rather see a guy show his feelings like Ariel did instead of a guy turning into a walking tomato and acting like he is hardcore instead of a boxeriser

Perhaps next time Ariel can tweet something along the line of "HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT COMING UP! Spoiler Alert: It's not a new line of dolls."

I bet there loads of shit like this Ariel has done in the past that probably never came out. Probably more of an accumulation of shit he's pulled rather than a one off.

Remember when you were younger and you'd tell a friend something personal and they'd be all like "no no, I wont tell anyone". Then you go into school the next day, everyone's looking at you all weird and stuff and you knew that little fucker spilled the beans.

Ariel is that guy.

Well his ban is now lifted. Ariel showed UFC who wears the big boy pants.

I think what happened to him is total bullshit, but this is hard to argue. The dude does seem to have an enormous ego.
I honestly don't see it, certainly not to the point to call it enormous.

Journalists naturally have huge egos (at least the really good ones), I've learned from experience.

But in terms of him crying... it's always awkward seeing a grown man cry. Especially over something so (relatively) insignificant.

I just picture him going home that night and crying and punching the air like Tre in Boyz in the Hood. I haven't cried since Mickey died in Rocky 3 when I was 10. I just don't think it's how men should conduct themselves.

The man achieved his dream and thought it had been taken from him for doing his job. He's got 2 kids. If you don't understand the emotion there, there's no explaining it to you.
