watched 1 rd. kickboxing just meh to me. time for more mma
Why's that? I have a theory that most mma fans are actually kickboxing fans and they don't even know it. non-stop action, striking only, and quick rounds/fights.. You're clearly the opposite, interested in your perspective

i feel a lot of strikes hit those big pillows on their fists. just don't see the excitement mma has. so much unpredictability in mma.

I'm really not digging the mix of KB and MMA. Call me old fashion but even this has a circus feel to me. Has less impact when one is interrupted by the other.

I heard someone on a podcast in the last couple of days mention that a lot of MMA fans don't translate into kickboxing fans or bjj fans because they possibly view it as a less complete combat sport. It's possible that it's viewed as more restrictive and therefore creates less wonder about what will happen next...

I'm not sure that I agree entirely but it's plausible.
